Chapter 41: The Third Beauty’s Arrival
Zara covered her face. She had been ready to cry and play the pity card, but after hearing what Sylvia and Monica said, she held back her tears.
Because in front of these three maniacs, that act was completely useless.
Not a single one of them had a conscience.
“He already hit me, Miss Morgan. Can you let me off now?”
Sylvia crossed her arms and waved the still-connected phone, then calmly asked Lucas, “Do you want to let her go?”
Lucas scoffed, “This ugly thing staying at my party is an eyesore. Kick her out. I never want to see her again in my life.”
As soon as he gave the order, his men stepped forward and grabbed Zara by the arms, dragging her toward the door.
“What are you doing? Let go! I can walk on my own!”
Just then, Yusuf’s anxious voice came from the phone, “Miss Morgan, she’s already been punished. Are you satisfied now? Can you please stop being angry with me?”
Sylvia gave a cold snort. “Barely. When you get home, you’d better discipline your niece. If she dares mess with me or my friends again, it won’t be this simple.”
“Yes, yes, you’re absolutely right, Miss Morgan. Don’t worry. I’ll make sure to teach her a proper lesson today. She won’t cause you any more trouble.”
“Alright. Hanging up now.”
Sylvia arrogantly ended the call and stuffed the phone into her pocket.
“Looks like I arrived just in time. If I had shown up a little later, were you really planning to let that woman go?”
Lucas’s eyes widened. “No way. I’m the most infamous villain in Su City. Anyone who dares cross me, I’ll deal with them. I don’t let anyone off the hook, not old men in their eighties or toddlers who just learned to walk. Man or woman, I’ll hit them all the same!”
Of course, that was just something he said to maintain his image.
He didn’t believe it himself, and neither did Sylvia or Monica.
But the people around him had no choice but to believe it.
One by one, they stared at Lucas with burning hatred. They looked like they wanted to kill him, but didn’t dare make a move, or even glare at him openly.
“This guy’s too arrogant. I’ve never seen someone so shameless.”
“A total scumbag. Having someone like him in our circle is just embarrassing.”
“But that person just now called her Miss Morgan. Could she be the daughter of the Morgan family? That stunning woman who just returned from abroad? Lucas’s that impressive? Engaged to the Goddess White, and also friends with Miss Morgan?”
“That’s not all. Didn’t you see even Monica looks at him with favor? Are these beauties blind? Why are they defending him?”
“I don’t get it. All I know is I’m so damn jealous of Lucas right now. Surrounded by beauties. His life is complete.”
Hearing all the scolding and envy around him, Lucas felt somewhat satisfied and finally relaxed.
The whole reason he hosted this party was to amplify the public hatred toward him and spread his infamy. That goal had been achieved.
The appearance of Sylvia and Monica had caught him off guard, but luckily, their involvement didn’t stir up too much trouble. They only punished Zara, which didn’t matter much.
Awesome!
Since arriving in this novel world, nothing had ever gone this smoothly.
He felt quite pleased and stress-free now, and spent the rest of the time eating, drinking, and having fun with Sylvia and Monica.
They swam, played drinking games, and dared each other to tell the truth or take on challenges. As things got crazier, Lucas completely forgot he was supposed to be a villain and lost himself in the fun.
Two hours later, he stood on a table, shirtless, wearing only boxer shorts and socks. Encouraged by Sylvia, he picked up a bottle of beer and chugged it down.
“Yeah!”
The rich second-generation crowd around him was fully hyped up. Nobody cared anymore about right or wrong. They just wanted to be part of the action and get close to Sylvia and Monica, so they all crowded over.
Soon, the poolside turned into a full-blown entertainment zone centered around Lucas.
At that moment, a graceful figure appeared beside him.
She wore a qipao, her long hair tucked behind her ear, a white shawl draped over her shoulders. She looked elegant and delicate. With a charming smile, she said, “You really have the nerve. Still partying at a time like this? Things outside are already out of control.”
Hearing her voice, Lucas immediately set down his beer bottle and turned around.
The woman was Sasha.
“What are you doing here?”
He wiped his mouth blankly, still trying to process it.
The crowd also fell silent.
They were already thrilled to have both Sylvia and Monica at the party.
Now, even Sasha, one of Su City’s Four Great Beauties, had shown up?
She usually had a low public presence because of her reserved nature. She spent her days in her family’s gem and jade shop, barely appearing in public. Most people never even got the chance to see her.
Yet now, she had appeared at Lucas’s party.
Could they actually know each other?
“I remember now. There was a report that Lucas once found a top-grade jade piece at Miss Porter’s gem store.”
“Fuck! This guy’s luck is insane.”
“Maybe Miss Porter saw the news and came because of that. Is she here to scold Lucas or support him? I can’t tell.”
Sylvia and Monica both frowned when they saw Sasha.
When did that little fool get to know Sasha?
This woman was no pushover.
Sylvia especially felt a growing sense of crisis.
Fighting with Rose was already exhausting. After all, Rose was the official fiancée recognized by Lucas, so Sylvia had to settle for aiming to be the second most important woman in his life.
Now Sasha had appeared, and she would undoubtedly be the strongest contender for that position.
Sasha glanced at Sylvia and Monica, then looked up at Lucas with a sweet smile. “A friend is in trouble. Shouldn’t I come help?”
“But I don’t really need any help,” Lucas replied, jumping down from the table and pulling on a shirt.
In front of Sylvia and Monica, he could do whatever he wanted. They were both troublemakers in their own right and didn’t care about decorum.
Sasha, however, always gave off a vibe of elegance and restraint.
What he didn’t realize was that his current look with the shirt only on top, boxers on the bottom, was somehow even more shameless.
“I did it. I was wrong. I admit it.”
Everyone around him felt like nodding along.
Exactly.
He did it. He was wrong. He deserved to be scolded.
So what help did he really need?
These beautiful women lining up to defend Lucas, what were they thinking?
For a good-for-nothing rich kid, they were all throwing their morals away?
