Chloe shouted “Hello! I’m home!”, but as she expected, there was no reply as her mum would still be at work. This suited Chloe as she immediately set off for the clinic and did not have to give any explanations. Chloe felt like a 12-year-old being told off by a teacher. “Sorry, I just got carried away and it wasn’t his fault ‘cos he was asleep, at least to start with.”
“Be careful Chloe, sex can get addictive and you can easily get carried away.”
“I will. It gave me a bit of a shock when I realised what I had done.”
Chloe walked home and was pleased to find that her mum had not yet arrived, so no need for explanations. By the time Jan arrived home from the hospital, Chloe had Bolognaise sauce bubbling on the stove and it was just a few minutes before the pasta was cooked too.
“How was the party, Chloe?” Jan asked.
“Great, but not too wild, apart from my little conversation with Matt’s ex!”
“Did she upset you?”
“No, she tried, but I think it ended up the other way round.”
Jan laughed. “How did you get on with Matt’s friends?”
“They were all really nice and laughed when I got the better of Susy. I also met Tamara’s parents and her brothers. Tammy, her brother Andy and his friend Justin stayed with us at Matt’s as they had a full house of relatives. We all spent a lot of time yesterday in the pool. How was your weekend?”
“Well, Fiona was with her mum, so Rob stayed the weekend. He took me out for dinner on Saturday night and we spent a lazy Sunday walking down by the river with lunch at the Weir.”
After dinner, Chloe sorted out her dirty washing from the weekend and put them, together with some of Jan’s clothes in the washing machine. Although it was early, Chloe was exhausted from the weekend, so she went to bed and immediately fell asleep.
The next morning, Chloe woke up late and after brunch, she called Tina. As it was still raining, they agreed to meet up at Matt’s apartment, so that they could chat and have dinner ready for when Matt got home from work. When Tina arrived, Chloe was already there and so they chatted animatedly about the weekend, then Tina looked down at the floor and said “Chloe, I messed up. I slept with my older cousin, Jake. He’s grown into a real hunk. We were the only ones there under 40, so we hung out most of the time. At first there was just a bit of hand-holding when no-one was watching, like when we went into the kitchen to get more drinks, which we did quite often. Well, it was like a game at first, kissing and making out while trying to not get caught.”
“Around midnight, everyone started heading off to bed, so I did too. Well our little game had got me all excited, so I just had to bring myself off. I was just recovering when the door opened and Jake whispered, “Can I come in?” I just whispered back “OK”, forgetting I was naked, so he crept in and closed the door quietly.
