Eleanor was not only flustered but also stammering, “Liam, have you lost your mind? Are you really going to help an accomplice of a rapist? Have you forgotten the humiliation Mila suffered?”
“Of course not, but I don’t like being taken advantage of either.” Liam’s tone was icy, “Get out!”
Eleanor swallowed hard, unable to withstand Liam’s imposing manner, and left with a pale face.
As soon as Eleanor left, Liam threw Evelyn on the ground, furious.
He didn’t know what to be angry about, whether it was Evelyn being like a dead fish and letting herself be slaughtered or the dirty things she had done!
If she could let Mila go, how would this series of events happen today?
And when he recalled the details from back then, while feeling heartbroken for Mila, he still couldn’t bear to let Eleanor lay a hand on Evelyn.
How could a mere Evelyn control his thoughts? Making him feel pity for a vicious woman!
Evelyn was in so much pain that she couldn’t straighten her waist and could only hold onto the sofa to barely stand up. In the next moment, Liam’s big hand tightly gripped her jaw and pressed her against the edge of the sofa, making her immobile.
“Evelyn!” He wished he could strangle her right now, “Aren’t you regretting it now? If it weren’t for your venomous heart two years ago, envying Mila’s extraordinary talent, envying her for being better than you, which led to those dirty deeds, you would still be the young lady of the Clarke family, and you wouldn’t have fallen into the current plight of a prisoner!”
Evelyn’s weary eyes were half-closed. Upon hearing this, she looked at Liam’s face and couldn’t help but laugh out loud, “Ha ... Haha...”
Liam frowned, “What are you laughing at?”
“You actually said that I envied Mila back then. Liam, are you crazy? Hahaha...”
Evelyn found it ridiculous. Even though now she was good for nothing and inferior to any woman, two years ago, she was a favored daughter of heaven! She could have whatever she wanted. How could Liam say that she envied Mila?
