If only he had someone to support him, Xavier’s heart leaped with delight. He had initially thought it was a pity, believing the opportunity to please Mila had slipped away.

“Evelyn, did you hear that? It’s not me asking you to kneel and kiss my shoes; it’s Mr. Drake who commanded it. Would you rather have me force you to your knees, or will you learn to be obedient?” Xavier folded his arms, a cold smirk on his face as if enjoying a spectacle, more arrogant than ever before.

Evelyn felt an icy coldness seep through her body. Even though she told herself she was accustomed to such treatment, the fact that this man would send her to a mental hospital for Mila’s sake meant he was capable of anything. Still, a dull ache spread relentlessly from her chest, threatening to steal her last breath.

Liam, you truly are merciless. I concede defeat!

Suppressing the recurring bitterness in her throat, Evelyn’s eyes turned lifeless like still water. Bending her knees, she prepared to kneel again.

“Evelyn, don’t kneel!” Rafael yanked her arm forcefully. His eyes, blazing with anger, locked onto Liam. “Liam, do you find pleasure in this? Isn’t pushing Evelyn to this extent enough for you? Do you feel satisfied only when she changes completely?”
