I woke feeling strange. It took a bit to realize that my system was shut off, the symbol was in the corner, but none of my normal displays were showing. I reactivated it, to discover my stats showing, along with the time. I was surprised I’d slept so late. My stats were blinking at me:

I’d gotten double the positive points I’d spent cutting rock yesterday, as my daily double, plus I’d made more friends, so that had boosted me as well. I was confused by the sheer number of negative points, until I remembered the haul I’d gotten from balancing that guy who gave me the ride home. I was still sitting at 9000 points a minute, so nobody new hated me.
I realized that I could now fly at 20kph just on mosquito points. I’d have to use my 25% neutral discount, and convert everything that came in to neutral points, to keep spending them, but flight was slowly becoming cost friendly. I remember just days ago thinking that 50 points per second was too expensive, and I could barely fly around my hotel room.
The level section of my stats was blinking, so I had the idea that Scribe thought I should level up.

I had been hoping for level 100 to be 30 million, following the previously set pattern, but it had jumped to 50 million instead. Scribe was excited about something:

Two skills were blinking, so I guessed that Scribe thought that either of these would help. I picked the one with multiple levels:

Ok, that would definitely reduce the expense of buying stuff for the island, but I’d have to pay cash. I asked Scribe if upgrading would eliminate the cash requirement, and it blinked twice for yes. But then he blinked on the new skills option again instead.

- be a farmer, plow and plant a field by hand, when you finish planting it will be ready for harvesting, cost 5000 points per square chǐ planted, 50000 point minimum, no maximum, can not mix positive and negative points in the same field
Scribe wasn’t done, he was leading me on to more new skills:

That was interesting, I wondered how portentous of my day this skill would be. For the next pick, Scribe showed me a list of all my upgradeable skills, but only one was blinking rapidly, so I upgraded it:

Ok, so Scribe definitely thought I needed to win these people over.
