Chapter 1

Cody—I met with Ms. Sims the day after I received her call about the possible salvage job she had for us. As she had ‘suggested’, I brought Mirana and Ann with me. Her secretary announced us as she opened the door into Ms. Sim’s office. Ms. Sims met us halfway into her office and ignored my hand, opting to grab Ann by the shoulders and kiss her on the mouth! When she released Ann, she looked at me and smiled. Then she did the same to Mirana! When she was finished she turned to me, shook my hand vigorously and said, “I hope the girls told you about our last meeting. It was so much fun!” I said they did and even winked at her and told her how I thought they were looking forward to doing it again! I heard Mirana clear her throat but did not look over at her.

She told us to sit as she walked behind her desk and picked up a folder. “I’ll make this quick. Four days ago one of our better clients down in Naples took his wife with him on an overnight business trip to New York. While they were gone his teenage son decided to throw a party. The night of the party somehow his father’s fishing boat miraculously came untied from the dock and floated out towards the inter-coastal waterway. Just before it reached the inter-coastal it crashed into another boat, also a client of ours, then it sank. Here is the problem. Of the thirty boats on that waterway, 28 are clients of ours. They are demanding that we remove that sunken boat so they have access to the inter-coastal by the 4^th of July. They have some type of big parade planned and that boat is blocking the route. My board of directors has authorized me to rectify this problem. I thought of you and your new company. Do you think you can move it in the next 12 days?”
