Chapter 8: To the Sawmill of the Seven

Neeia goes looking for a healer who could fix her hand. After a few hours of searching, she finds someone who heals her hand immediately. Meanwhile, Jaysek examines those papers found from the manor. He discovers that apparently one of the city’s judges is involved in the matter. In the evening, the group goes on a pub crawl looking for information about the Sawmill of the Seven. Neeia remembers hearing that the sawmill does quite good work; apparently their quality control works. In addition, they have quite long-term employees there, there are never any job openings. Usually, the staff at sawmills changes quite quickly.

Kieron disguises herself as Jaysek for the round so well that Ra and Neeia don’t even notice which is which until Kieron speaks. The group goes to a tavern, and Neeia tries to get information from the tavern’s clientele. Ra helps, Jaysek (Kieron) tries to help but sulks too much reading a book, so in reality hinders Neeia’s attempts. Jaysek (Jaysek) sits in the corner and reads a book.

Neeia thinks Jaysek (Kieron) is Jaysek and tries to flirt with him to get him to join the effort. This flirtation goes a bit overboard and results in a bar fight. At the same time, a succubus rushes in through the door, followed by a minotaur with a large two-handed axe. At this point, Neeia says that they need to get away from this battle, so she deceives the entire tavern by exposing her breasts, and during the confusion caused by this, Jaysek (Kieron), Jaysek (Jaysek), and Neeia rush out the door to escape. Ra remains in the tavern to participate in the bar fight. He tries to jump over the bar counter, so a female warrior next to him strikes him with a large sword. A mage next to the bar counter tries to slow Ra down but doesn’t succeed, and in addition, the bartender also hits with a tankard, and one guy tries to hit him with a table, but it misses.

The succubus runs straight to Ra and asks for help, which Ra of course agrees to. The battle spreads throughout the tavern area. The minotaur with the two-handed axe comes after Ra and manages to cause him quite bad injuries. Ra is already getting into quite poor condition, so he deceives the minotaur and sends it out the door, but the minotaur immediately returns inside. Ra tries to escape through the window but can’t break it. After that, he loses consciousness, and is struck a couple more times before being left alone. A couple of mages in the tavern get annoyed with each other and start fighting with each other. After a moment of fighting, the entire tavern explodes into pieces in a large fireball. Ra goes into very poor condition from the explosion but still remains alive. Due to the force of the explosion, the succubus flies toward the rest of the group, but she clearly can’t fly with her wings. The minotaur is still following.

Jaysek notices Ra lying behind the bar counter, so he casts speed spells on himself, as does Neeia, after which Jaysek starts running toward Ra. Three death knights also arrive on the scene. The succubus runs past one and the minotaur follows and tries to attack the death knight in passing. The death knight strikes the minotaur once, and after that, it falls. At the same time, the succubus disappears as smoke into the air.

Another death knight comes to the two fighting mages and strikes one of them. This mage notices the knight and starts running away really fast. One of the other mages has flown away, and the guy behind the last mage begins to explain to the third knight whether he knows what diplomatic immunity is and this mage here is his bodyguard. The female warrior who attacked Ra starts staggering away while Jaysek levitates Ra’s body and starts pushing it in the same direction. One knight tries to come arrest them. The female warrior sighs that she has to go to jail, again. Jaysek accelerates and goes through a narrow gap between two houses, and when one house collapses and blocks the alley, the knight cannot follow.
