Diane was appalled at my proposed treatment of my sister to say the least “Why on earth would you have to kill her?” She asked. At least she wasn’t threatening and screaming at me like that other worked up shrew.
“If the peasants (or more importantly some of my detractors) knew her lineage, she would divide some of the people against my right to rule. Without full support, I cannot effectively protect the people from outside threats (like my ‘brother’) with the support of my forces and my people divided.” I said, calmly. “When the Keep fell, both she and I would be killed anyway, so why not simply kill her now, and avoid dividing my forces loyalties?”
“Are you certain that would happen?” Diane looked on incredulously.
I wondered if she knew as little of my people as I knew about hers. “Greeter Diane, what do you know of my people of Earth?” I asked.
What followed was an extremely biased version of what Earth humans were. I suppose that their main source of information came from the Hero’s themselves but it was surprising to hear such nonsense from women who were, by and large, quite well informed about everything. They could find all about the people in my Keep and their history, but they failed to understand the simple way that power, gender, and status motivated people
“First of the truths you need to know about my world, is that it is just as violent as Chaos, and with the advent of large standing armies which serve a particular ruler (either religious or monarch) it has the possibility to be even more so.” I started with.
“Additionally, women on our world are not as well regarded as you seem to think they’d be. Your Damsels beauty would have them stand out as strongly on my world as they do on Chaos, and for the same reasons ... beauty, jealousy and covetousness. Without the Burning Dick that protects them somewhat on Chaos, they would be subject the deprivations of men...” I paused, watching her face and seeing that my words just were not having an effect.
“But Earth men are heroes?”
