Chapter 26

Raiden woke up early Saturday morning and went to his hidden workshop in the basement. He got three Winchester .38/ .357 leaver rifles from his armory and four boxes of .38 Special ammo. Then he grabbed a box of .45 Long Colt for himself and went to the kitchen. Raiden ate a bowl of cereal for breakfast, and then the doorbell rang. He strapped on his gun belt, grabbed his rifle, and answered the door. A man and woman stood on the porch outside the storm door.

He said, back off the porch, and when they did, Raiden exited the house. The man said they were his parents, Andrew and Kathy Carnell. Raiden laughed and said his parents were dead. The woman said she was his grandmother’s daughter and his mother, Kathy Hunt Carnell. Raiden said oh, you’re the bitch that abanded me sixteen years ago. Then he looked at Andrew and said that makes you the Bastard. Well, you’re a little late to the party.

Martha Hunt died and left me her estate in a trust. Since I’m an emancipated adult, you low-life scum can crawl back into the hole you came from. His father said now wait a minute, we’re entitled to Martha Hunt’s estate. Raiden pulled his .45 Long Colt and fired a round between his feet, and said, you’re not entitled to jack shit. They were shocked, and Raiden told them to call Martha’s attorney, James Berch, in New York. Then, he instructed his parents to strip.

When they refused, Raiden pulled his revolver and shot Andrew, nicking him in the shoulder. He said refuse again, and you’ll die where you’re standing. When they were nude, Raiden said this is my ranch, and you are trespassing. If you show up again, I’ll shoot you on sight and let the wild animals enjoy your remains. Raiden got the car keys from his father’s pant pocket and threw them to him. He told them to leave and don’t think about coming back, or they will end up like their buddy Curtis with two shots to the chest.

They looked shocked Raiden knew about Curtis and left nude. Driving away, Andrew told Kathy Raiden’s had professional training. Kathy agreed and said they needed to contact Martha’s attorney. Then we need to find out who trained Raiden so we can prepare for next time. Andrew told Kathy to call headquarters and run a background check on Raiden. She did and was told the file was red tag restricted and the operator was locked out of the system. Kathy told Andrew we’re in deep shit now.

Five minutes later, Kathy received a call telling her to report to the CIA headquarters with Andrew immediately. Kathy said they stepped into a hornet’s nest, which won’t end well. Luckily, they left their wallet and purse in the car with CIA IDs. They stopped, got clothing from their luggage, dressed, and headed to the airport.

Rachel, Riley, and Regina rang the doorbell, and Raiden answered. He invited them inside, and Rachel asked who the nude man and woman were leaving his house. Raiden said they claimed to be his parents, but he must get his size from the Hunt side of the family. Everyone laughed, and he gave Rachel, Regina, and Riley firearms safety instructions. When he was satisfied they knew how to handle a rifle safely, they headed to the gun range. Raiden showed them how to load and fire the Winchester lever action rifle. Then, they each loaded and shot their rifles at the target. By the second reload, they consistently hit the target 25 yards away.

Then they returned to the kitchen, where Raiden showed them how to clean their rifles. When they were done, Raiden had them take the rifles outside, lever them, acquire the target, and then shoot. The rifles were empty, but it gave them experience loading and firing a round. Then, they loaded the rifles with ammo but left the chamber empty. Then, they went to the stable tack room and showed them how to attach the rife scabbard to the saddle.

When they were done, Raiden gave each of them a rifle and a box of ammo, shocking them. He told them to carry their rifles to the stable, whether riding or caring for the horses. Raiden said that when they go riding, they always ride in pairs. The last information he gave them was how to call for help. Raiden said three shots in the air signal that you’re in trouble. When the lesson ended, Raiden told Rachel that he knew the source of the nighttime lotion, so tell him when they needed refills.

He got hugs and kisses from Rachel, Regina, and Riley, and they headed home. Raiden made a sandwich for lunch and then went to his workshop in the basement. He revised his anti-virus program to detect and quartine viruses and worms. Then, he created attack and tracking bots. Once the programming was done, he installed them into the anti-virus program. The tracker and attack bots would follow the virus or worm to the sender’s computer and then notify him.

Next, Raiden encrypted his new anti-virus program and programmed a self-destruct if an attempt was made to hack or copy the program. The name for his new anti-virus was “Black Widow.” Then, he installed it on his computers and servers. It was getting late, so he turned off the computer, went to his room, cleaned up, and went to the kitchen for dinner. He heated a frozen pasta dinner in the microwave, ate, and then went to bed.

Andrew and Kathy Carnell arrived at CIA Headquarters in Langley, Virginia, at 4 p.m. They attempted to scan their IDs at the entrance but were rejected. Then security showed up and escorted them to an interrogation room. Assistant Director Brock Staples entered the room with another man and sat across the table from them. Brock says you first requested emergency leave and then asked for a background check on a protected individual.

Kathy started to speak, but Brock said to shut up. Then he told them whatever their reason was didn’t matter. They used company resources for personal business and raised a huge red flag. So they are being sent to the US Embassy in Afghanistan, where they can fly below the radar. Brock said he received a call to terminate your employment with extreme prejudice. Andrew and Kathy said holy shit and Brock said you’ve got it. He said that if any attempt is made to contact the individual again by any means, he’ll carry out the order quickly and swiftly. Brock handed them their travel documents and said their belongings from their last posting would be shipped to them. Then he told them their flight leaves in an hour and a half from Andrews Airforce Base and left the room. Andrew and Kathy were escorted out of the CIA Headquarter’s and Kathy said they had really screwed up. Andrew agreed and said it would be healthy to stay away from Raiden.

Sunday morning, Raiden drove to Denny’s for breakfast. Then he went to his apartment, picked up the FedEx package by the door, and went inside. He opened the package and read the file first. His op was to fly to Fort Lauderdale and terminate Armenian Businessman Narek Davtyan. Narek was prosecuted for selling restricted military technology to Russia, China, and North Korea. The case was dismissed on a technicality, and Narek continued his illegal activities through different companies.

Raiden was to use his alias, Cade Williams, a nature photographer, as his cover. The file included a photo of Narek Datyan. A cabin cruiser is at dock four slip six at Hall of Fame Marina in Fort Lauderdale with everything he needs for the op. Keys for the boat were enclosed. Narek’s death must look like a Russian or Chinese assassination. Narek’s yacht is at dock six slip eight. He’s expected Monday after 6 p.m. Then the note ended with Good Luck and he laughed.

Raiden decided to leave early and check out the marina. SAC wasn’t known for supplying great information. So he packed his dark clothes and two changes of regular clothes. Then he included surgical gloves, his coated ball cap and sunglasses, and a can of the “Black Out” spray. Raiden opened his safe, got his alias Cade Williams wallet with his ID and credit cards, and grabbed 10K in cash. Then he went to the hidden room in the garage and got his disguise.

After locking up the garage and apartment, he drove to the airport. Raiden ordered fuel for the HondaJet, added the fuel supplement, did the preflight check, and filed his flight plan. Raiden took off after the fuel truck left and landed at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport around 3 p.m. He put on his disguise, coated sunglasses, and ball cap. Then Cade paid the landing fees and rented a Ford Escape. When he arrived at the Hall of Fame Marina, CCTV cameras were everywhere.

Cade left and found a surf shop. He bought a white hoodie sweatshirt and a few T-shirts with the shop logo. Returning to the marina, Cade parked by dock four, put on the hoodie sweatshirt, and kept his down. There was a keypad to enter the dock, but he wasn’t given one. Luckily, he read a young woman’s mind by the gate and got the code. When Cade arrived at the cabin cruiser, he wore gloves, boarded the boat, and unlocked the galley door.

He found his supplies under a bench seat in the galley. There was an AK-47, a silenced Makarov 9mm pistol, night vision glasses, and night vision binoculars. Then he looked through the cabin cruiser windows with the binoculars at Narek’s yacht. He arrived after 7 p.m. with a lady friend. They sat on deck until 9 p.m. and went below deck. Cade put on his dark clothes grabbed the silenced Makarov 9mm, and teleported into the lounge of the yacht. He went below, and Narek had the woman tied face down doggie-style, screwing her.

Cade shot Narek five times in the back, then once in the head, and returned to his cabin cruiser. He changed clothes, put on his coated hat and surfer hoodie, grabbed the night vision glasses and binoculars, and left the marina. Cade drove to a McDonald’s drive-thru and ordered two Big Macs, a large drink, and a large fry. He was hungry, missing lunch, and found a cheap but clean motel by the airport. He got a room for the night and paid cash. Raiden thought about the op, and as usual, the Intel sucked. He finished dinner and went to bed.

Raiden woke up Monday morning, showered, dressed, and applied his Cade Williams disguise. Then he put on his coated ball cap and sunglasses and drove to the airport. He returned his rental, ordered fuel, filed his flight plan, and did the preflight check. Then, using his burner phone, Cade called the preprogrammed number and said this is Ares number 3490, and “It’s done.” Cade crushed the phone, took off after the fuel truck left, and arrived at Rapid City airport at 10 a.m.
