Chapter 69: Hawaii

Time Travel Sex Story: Chapter 69: Hawaii - Steampunk is a stand alone coming-of-age story. Bill Morgan, Tom’s son, from the first Meeting An Alien story is almost grown up. Bill, at loose ends, arrives on Earth-19 where many dangers, challenges and needy damsels await him. It is a separate story with all new characters and a places; i.e. it is a vastly different world with a an Old-West feel. Think mid-19th century; Steam power, percussion cap weapons and duals to the death.

The rest of the day after Amiyah went by in a fog.

My upcoming trip to Hawaii was all I could think about. The thing was, the trip was quite complicated. I was time-hopping but needed to fly from California to Hawaii to leave a bit of a trail. Evidently, you can’t pop into or onto Hawaii. I would also have to go world-hopping through the two Heillizdt ships. From Gigziks’ ship here on Earth 19, and then to Drozul’s ship on Earth 23.

That night, Emilia, Rebecca’s sister, cuddled me with her baby bump against me. She felt needy and tired, weighed down by the baby. She was getting close.

I must have sent signals because the other women avoided having sex with me. I know it was my expressions that put them off. I was pretty preoccupied. Part of the reason for taking a vacation was to get a change of scenery.

The following morning, I had gruel with sausage pieces and a cup of coffee. Then I portal-ed directly to Gigziks’ ship.

There, I was given a brief on what to do and how to do it. I was handed an American Express card and a driver’s license. I was 22 years old according to my 1980 license.

I was to go to a bank in California and get traveler’s checks. This is all part of leaving a trail.

Drozul’s Ship’s AI had gone through a travel agent and reserved my hotel room in advance. Showing up during spring break without reservations can be frustrating. It might have resulted in my staying in a fleabag.

They also gave me luggage with suitable clothes for Hawaii. They had me change into regular street clothes from my everyday Earth 19 old-time garb. It’s a little rustic for the US in the late 20th century.

I put on running shoes for the first time in a long time. The clothing felt odd on my body. It was not tailored to fit.

Gigziks led me to her runabout. I went aboard and instructed the AI to take me to Drozul’s ship. After arriving, the runabout AI took us out of a garage door of sorts on Drozul’s ship. I then headed for California. There, I went to the 1980s-era bank that they had chosen for me. I bought $5,000 in traveler’s checks as instructed.

The American Express card was the most popular available. But that card is not universally accepted because Amex charges businesses extra fees. Some credit cards came with introductory low fees for a while. It was a wild, wild-west sort of arrangement in a brand-new credit card industry. It was feeling its way.

There were other credit cards. Due to the lack of interstate banking laws in 1980, those cards were often limited to one state or even a local area.

There were limits imposed by banking laws designed to prevent out-of-state competition. It was all very stupid. If you had a bank card in California, you could not use it in Las Vegas, even if that particular bank had branches in Nevada. State laws prevented its use.

So, I was timed to April 7, 1980, so that I can enjoy the women of that time, and smoke almost whenever I want. People can’t smoke in modern America like they used to.

Plus, the women of the 1980s had a whole different attitude toward men. With an adult driver’s license, I can also drink.

The flight, even in First Class, was long and tedious. I can’t remember the last time I was confined to one spot for so long. It seemed to take forever to get to Hawaii. I guess I’m spoiled having runabouts that can go up high and thus faster than the speed of sound.

Upon arrival, I got my carry-on and walked out. The terminal was quite jammed packed.

I did not smoke on the plane because I mostly had my pipe and tobacco with me. A pipe or a cigar can easily overcome a small enclosed area like an airplane.

I did pull out a cheroot partway through, but I just chewed it to get the good taste and a relaxing feeling.

Sadly, I had one more trip to take. I arrived on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. I then needed to catch a hop from Oahu to Kauai.

Later, on Kauai, I hauled my carry-on out to take a cab to the resort. That was a mistake.

I should have rented a car so I would be more mobile. At that point, I wanted the trip to just be over. Yet, everything I do has to be done in public this time. What a pain in the ass.

I got checked in at the Likahina Resort and followed the bellhop up to my room. After closing the door on him, I finally got to smoke and make myself a drink.

AHhhhhh...

The runabout was above the Hotel, and I had it send down a few bottles of wine and booze. I had bought the libations in California and sent them up to the little ship there while in California/

The Heillizdt had been to my room before me. I saw the ankh symbol over a blank part of the wall. There was one over the balcony door, too. After my smoke, I took a shower to get the stink off. There had been a lot of cigarette smokers on the airplane, so I reeked.

When I came out of my shower, my smoky clothes were gone. I knew the Heillizdt had grabbed them to clean them.

I knew someone had been here from Drozul’s ship because my carry-on was empty. Loads of other American clothes had also been provided for me. There was also vacation clothes suitable for the beach and this location.

Naked, I walked out on the balcony to look down. There is a large grassy section between me and the beach. I am in a suite on the eleventh, or top floor. It overlooks the ocean. There is a swim platform offshore and two sailboats anchored too.

I see cabanas, many umbrellas, loads of chaise lounge chairs, and regular beach chairs.

I sat to enjoy my pipe and sip my whiskey. I dozed off in the chair. I finally calmed down and relaxed.

.

I was here on Kauai, finally!

I would not have to do this trip ever again. Next time, I could pop from one Heillizdt ship to the other and pop out right here on Kauai. I did not want to rent this place forever; I needed to look into a place of my own here for when my vacation is over.

It was well just past 9 pm when I came back to myself. I had been quite exhausted. I called room service and had them send up a hamburger and fries. There were sodas in the refrigerator.

I watched a couple of movies on the big-screen TV before going back to sleep again. 1980s movies are different and odd, with lots of nudity and violence.

On the second floor, they have a workout room. I told Ox to wake me after the sun comes up. I got up and did my Tai Chi, and did a partial workout. I would have to look for a Brazilian Muay Thai place. It had been downloaded to my mind when they had processed me for life on Earth 19.

Al Camillari, our security guard, is a former Marine. He had taught my brothers and me in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, or MCMAP. That was our general-purpose introduction to self-defense. I loved what I did with Michizoe Manami at my mountain retreat.

I wanted to try Brazilian Muay Thai because I understood it to be very challenging. It was already in my head, why not test it a little while I’m here?

Ox didn’t wake me, or he lied, depending on what he thought was good for me. I made a pot of coffee. Then I sat on the balcony naked. That allowed me to enjoy a pipe full of Triple Threat in yet another Canadian-style long-stemmed pipe. This one was a briar and had a screen and a filter. I loafed until after 10:30 before dressing and going down to find some breakfast.

I had to look it up on the Internet to find out which suite I had. I was in a 1-bedroom oceanfront Molokai Suite. What sets this suite apart is its living room has a couch and two chairs. The TV has a large screen and sits in a big entertainment center.

The room is long, with the bathrooms ( 2 of them ) at the end of the suite that faces in. There is a large two-person tub. It has a large shower with a seat, two large sinks, and a separate toilet area.

The cost here today is middle $500s per night. It varies by day of the week. Weekend days are costlier, of course. That’s close to what a week’s wages were in 1980, for one night.

By late 2030s standards, it was equal to over $8,000 a night. Jesus Christ, but that’s expensive!

While I had been down for breakfast, the Heillizdt had been in and provided me with many new amenities. This included more clothes, lots of munchies, and a much larger selection of booze. Best of all, they replaced the coffee pot with a Hot Coffee & Iced Tea Maker. It has two pod holders: one for coffee and one for tea.

They offered a great selection of tea and coffee pods. They also added one of those countertop ice makers.

For tea, I had Maud’s Organic Tea Pods with 9 blends. I did not care for the peppermint one, but the other flavors were acceptable. For coffee, I had a mixed bag of coffee pods that ranged across anything you could imagine.

Later, I found the Hotel’s coffee pot in one of the kitchen cabinets. It was a hunk of junk. Evidently, they don’t have Keurig pods during this time period.

I had enough coffee from waking up and breakfast. I made an iced tea and used the Heillizdt supplied non-nutritive sweetener.

I pulled out my Kindle and settled in for a day of relaxation and reading.

Later, I found limes in the refrigerator and shifted to Cuba Libres. I don’t get drunk because of Exos, so I merely enjoyed the dark rum and, honest to god, Coca-Cola with fresh lime juice. Being on Earth 19, I miss Coke.

I had been to the Likahina Resort ‘Noon’ for breakfast and had just ordered the buffet then. That way, I could graze as much as I wanted to. It is an outdoor restaurant that specializes in gourmet Hawaiian dishes.

The Likahina Resort ‘Noon’ turns magically becomes the ‘Pineapple Moon’ restaurant for lunch.

I went there for an early dinner. I ordered the Kiawe Smoked Salmon with red onion, tomato, capers, and cream cheese. I also got a salad and a Mount Haleakala cocktail. Think of an overly sweet drink, with coconut cream and pineapple.

The ‘Noon’ and alternately ‘Moon’ restaurant is near the bigger pool. This restaurant is essentially a covered patio that lets you see the pool, with the ocean behind it. It has a different Hawaiian-style menu for every meal.

Everything is farm fresh and delicious. The Likahina Resort has several eateries and bars. All of them are great. I settled on the ‘Noon’ because of its more casual atmosphere. It has the best view, and the food is to die for.

The next morning, after breakfast, I found the Spa. I booked a different kind of massage for every day during the next week.

One was an authentic Oriental Foot Massage. They don’t massage your feet; they walk all over your body, using their feet. They dig into you. It’s a kind of variation on a Swedish-style massage; it’s very deep. I don’t recommend that one for the ladies.

One evening, I went to “Branches,” an outdoor entertainment venue. It rotates nightly through different music acts. They serve poo-poo platters (Hawaiian for hors d’oeuvres ). They also have a wide selection of tropical drinks.

I settled in for my first week to just fuck off and relax. I read books. I watched TV, and I ate and drank alone for my first week here.

Over a week later, I went to “Branches” again to have a few drinks and enjoy my pipe. I was not far from a couple. They were drinking and watching only. The woman was in her mid-30s. The husband was much older. He got tired early and left.

I sent, “Ox, put a drone on that man who just left his wife sitting alone.”

I waved the waitress over and asked her to deliver “Whatever that lady is drinking.”

When it was delivered, she stood up and came over. I waved at the seat next to me.

She sat, and I said “Aloha” as you do in Hawaii. I leaned over to kiss her cheek while I gave her a hug. She muddled immediately, and the brief kiss got quite a bit more involved. She’s hungry for attention.

I said, “Are you here alone?”

She said, “I’m with my husband, but he’s always been a lightweight. I like to party more than he does, by now he’s probably asleep. I’m Georgia, by the way.”

“I’m Bill Morgan.”

Ox injected, “Her husband was out like a light as soon as he hit the bed.”

I said, ‘Keep an eye on him.”

A few couples got up and danced off on the side away from the band and tables.

I asked, “Would you like to dance?”
