The King’s Arena was a massive stadium built outside of the Imeldan Valley, itself the center of the War Maidens Academy’s main campus, heart of its most beautiful and fabulous buildings. It was built near Georgina’s Peak, almost twenty thousand feet above sea level, and from its wonderful balconies, as well as the many squares and plazas surrounding the main building, one could see the two higher peaks of the Imeldan mountain chain—Mt. Aurelia and Mt. Imelda—which stretched out beyond the horizon, taming those lands and disciplining its people just like its namesake warrioress once did.

Georgina’s Peak—and by extension the King’s Base—was located relatively far from the main campus: almost sixty miles from its outermost buildings, such as the Stargaze Observatories and the Theodora Dormitoriums, atop the northern ring of the valley, and some seventy miles from Gracyanne’s Palace, beating heart of the Academy’s administration.

The somewhat location was not really because the valley itself, with the Academy’s many buildings, was perhaps near capacity—having been developed to the fullest potential of its purpose and beauty— but mostly because the building itself was of a special category even to the standards of those mighty beings: the Arena and surrounding structures, including every inch of step of every flight of stairs in its outermost plazas, was known as an All-Out Structure (or Indestructible Facility in more formal terms). It was a structure built with materials and techniques hidden from even most Maidens themselves, restricted only to the uppermost crust of Maidenesse (that is, Maiden society).

“An Indestructible Facility (or All-Out Structure, as it’s now fondly referred to),” read one of the most common introductory apostilles given to newcoming Maidens-in-Training, “is a special facility and restricted area for the use of only the strongest Maidens. As its names suggest, these facilities are indestructible—or as close to physically indestructible as any structure can be within the confines of Gaia. The strongest Maidens are able to unleash their full power and fight to the uttermost limits of their potential with little regard for the safety of others or the integrity of the Academy within the bounds of these special structures. Their means of construction are kept hidden from all but the strongest and cleverest of Maidens (i.e., Over-Maidens). Likewise, their usage is equally restricted—although lesser Maidens are able to enter these spaces under certain conditions, such as spectators of Over-Maiden matches or any event that involves the mightiest of our mighty sisters.

(... )

So far, the Indestructible facilities (or simply Indestructibles) have earned their title. There has never been recorded an upper bound for the strength of these buildings, though a theoretical ceiling of 100MK has been set. This means that fights between Maidens with a combined power level amounting to one hundred million Kymer units (100,000,000K) can be conducted with no restraints of either power/strength or length and the structure is guaranteed to remain mostly intact. Considering that the highest-recorded, publicly available power levels of Over-Maidens have rarely crossed the 1MK (or one million Kymer units) mark, the only theoretical possibility of an Indestructible Facility being destroyed, either partially or completely, is by gathering around a hundred of such extreme Over-Maidens in one single facility and have them all fight continuously, at the peak of their powers, until the structure cedes.

This hypothesis also takes the currently agreed-upon theoretical ceiling of 100MK to be exact. There are no reliable experiments that can prove if this is actually the case.

The only other theoretical possibility of an Indestructible being brought down is by assaulting it with Restricted Maidens. Those are Over-Maidens and/or special-class Maidens whose information is either partially or completely hidden from the public, from identity to power levels. The number of Maidens currently under Restricted status is itself restricted information. The overwhelming majority of Restricted Maidens, like Dame Juliana from Brazil or Lady Hikari Sato from Nyon, are restricted for bureaucratic or state-security reasons. Only a (possibly insignificant) minority is restricted for reasons of extraordinary power levels.

However, some Maidens throughout history have been either strongly rumored, to the point of near-beyond-doubt, or confirmed to have been restricted because of excessive or concerning power levels. Those would be the historical figures and Founding Mothers Queen Gracyanne and Lady Imelda; the former Headmistresses of the War Maiden Academy Lady Sachiko Takahashi and Queen Maria of Iberia; and the Academy’s current Headmistress, Lady Mara Rossi, of the Rossi Maidenesse dynasty. The power levels of all these Over-Maidens have been given the highest Restriction level (Triple R or Triple C) for perpetuity, meaning that only a selected cadre of little over fifty Maiden in all of Gaia can get access to this information.

(... )

It is paramount to always clear the following (and sadly common) misconception: Indestructible buildings are indestructible, but not completely undamageable. Extreme activities between Maidens of the most extreme power levels have been recorded to have damaged said buildings, sometimes to a great degree. Both Over-Maidens D’Iberia and Takahashi have publicly demonstrated their abilities to damage and even wreck large parts of these buildings. Headmistress Rossi has never followed on such public displays, but has been reported, through many credible accounts from verified (i.e., trusted) Maidens, to “routinely damage” these structures “with surprising ease.” Her feats of power have been described as going as far as removing chunks of walls with her bare hands and “crushing them to dust” in her palms—though this latest claim is heavily disputed.

All told, every Indestructible has self-healing, self-reinforcing properties. Like plants, these buildings regrow their lost structures or cracked surfaces while adapting to the form and scale of the destruction. Unless if submitted to (currently unheard of and unthinkable) constant and sustained levels of indescribable, nigh-divine power, every All-Out building shall remain intact and little altered until the Heat Death of Utera.”

The distance meant little to Sun and Moon, who arrived at the Arena after a ten-minute leap. “I hope she doesn’t take long to wake up.” Sun spoke to her sister as she carried a dormant Euridice in her arms, walking between the mighty columns of the main building’s entrance while the wind made her toga flap beautifully, elegantly against the moonlight.

Moon, as usual, was taciturn. “Waste of time, in my opinion.” She couldn’t hide the contempt in her voice as she spoke about “Euridice fell asleep with a mere touch of your pinkie.”

“It wasn’t like that!” Feeling at ease with her sister, both of them isolated in an already much-secluded building, Sun leaped and pranced in front of her, her eighteen years of age looking even older for her behavior—which was always that of an overjoyed eight-year-old. “I whispered in her ears, actually.” Her tone became one of playful reprimand: “You would have seen it clearly if you weren’t brooding so much there on the back of the arena.”

“I was soooo tiiiired, Hera beloved!” Moon moved impatiently, more hastily, doing sidesteps while she followed her beloved companion. “I don’t even know why we have to go through these hoops to get our damned diploma.”

“There ain’t a diploma, silly-nilly.”

“You know what I mean.” Under her bountiful toga, the aggravated goddess crossed her arms and puffed out cute smokes of dissatisfaction. “Pfff! Silly graduation! We should have been given Maiden status as soon as we were born, not having to wait so damn long while pretending to be equals with these corn mice.”

Sun sounded a little more stern and concerned in her following words: “Look, Moon, I know you do get cranky when you haven’t eaten in a while.”

“Starving. I am starving, that’s what you oughtta say.” As if on command... wrooooooooom!!! Her stomach produced the mightiest of roars, though the ground, unlike what they were used to, didn’t vibrate one bit. “My problem is that of starvation, not one of ‘not having eaten in a while.’”

“I don’t care.” The sharpness of her reply made her sister walk with a much more reserved gait. “They are our sisters and we must respect them. Don’t belittle them like this again even if you’re just kidding.”

“I’m sorry.” She walked now like a repentant puppy, staying a little farther behind every second as she walked so much slower than her sister. “I overdid it again.”

“The training serves to teach us patience. And self-awareness. And self-consciousness!” She shook her hips, almost bursting into a short tap dance. “Without the Academy, we wouldn’t have half the power we have now...”

“Which would still be more power than a god’s.” Moon whispered to herself. “But, hey, what do I know, am I right?”

“ ... and we would be, quite frankly, really horrible people.” Sun would have loved to have gazed upon the stars as she contemplated on these words, but no longer she could, for the two mighty Beings were now walking inside the intimidating halls of the Arena’s ring—and what terrible, what awe-striking halls those were! “There is no recorded case of a single Maiden having “gone rogue”, or having becoming corrupted in some sense. We’ve never been evil, and I suppose we can’t be evil. We’re women, after all. Our nature is nurturing.” She heard her sister scoff. “What is it now, you fiend?”

“You’re the model of innocence, sometimes, sister.”

“Bah! Keep your sob stories to yourself.” Yet he walked more slowly, more carefully now, fearing to have triggered something, anything on her comrade. “Maidens can’t ever be evil, but they can be sad, sorrowful, lost, confused, or just incompetent. Many-a-death were caused by clumsy, untrained warrioresses, and even more wreckage was wrought by ladies who couldn’t ... uh, how would I put it?” She shook her hips. “Control their guiles.” She chuckled, pulling a beautiful smile as well on her sister’s face. “So many of our sisters wander alone in the Universe, without guidance or direction, and so many of these ultimately choose to deprive the Utera of their power, their beauty, their perfection.” She took a deep breath. Heavy was the sorrow this subject imposed on her heart. “So many can’t deal with the loneliness of being so perfect, so supreme, and so many more can’t deal with the sheer simple boredom that comes from such a position of unassailable superiority.” She walked even more slowly, taking a pause to ponder and allowing her sister to catch up to her. “Now that I think of it, our existence comes in handy for our kind.”

“I know what you mean.” Even without tuning her own brain to her sister’s, Moon could accurately deduce her moods, intents, and arguments. “We stand so higher above these lassies that, in a weird sort of way, our superiority engenders not envy, but aspiration.”

“Exactly! They have something to aspire to. Something to compare themselves to. Someone to count on in their moments of loneliness.” She smiled, and even those colossal halls were beginning to grow hotter by her ample grin. “This is why we call our Headmistress ‘mother’, and she us ‘daughters.’ The strong lead the weak, and the weak love the strong. It’s nice having someone to look up to, even though this somebody stands atop a peak you know you will never reach.” Deep breath, exhale of fire. “The Academy is here for this. To be the focal point of all varieties of Maidens, from the strongest beasts to the meekest squires. All come together here to learn to be better females, and take a firm and responsible reign of this Universe we’ve been given.” This time, her smile grew a little more ... insidious. “Or that we conquered for ourselves.”

Sun and Moon walked a couple of yards without words, just contemplating the sheer beauty of the building that unfolded before their steps. The inside of the Arena’s ring, or at least the bulk of it, was one continuous room laden with columns a hundred feet high, and from its entrance to the next walled room there were at least two thousand feet of walking to do—meaning that, from the outermost to the innermost wall of that giant ring, one could fit over six, seven yankee football fields, end-zone to end-zone.

The columns were colored with purple and lavender lights of unknown origins. Stars shone along their surfaces, like specks of bioluminescent lifeforms sprinkled throughout, and on the ceiling, some hundred feet above them, they gazed upon a spectacle of unnatural colors: artificial stars and nebulas shone with such apparent bioluminescence, and their spectacle was so dense with beauty, so vivid in its complexity, so rich in its colors, that soon enough Sun forgot about her yearning for the stars and worshipped that false sky as something even superior to what Mother Nature herself had crafted—a superiority, coming to think of it, that was only expected from a creation of the Maidens, themselves Nature’s greatest creation. “Can you believe you can fit over half a million people in this Arena?”

“Hmm.” Moon uttered, neither nodding nor shaking her head. “And to know that this is one of our lesser buildings. I can see why some Maidens grow so bored with life.” She lowered her head. For a flicker of a moment in time, she came to regard in her heart the feelings of her lesser sisters. Empathy! “We practically breathe civilizations into existence. Grows very stale after a while.”

“See? Wonder if you wouldn’t have succumbed to this melancholy without the Academy.”

“As if I were complaining. It was just a casual joke.”

“You did sound a little serious when you were making it.”

Moon conceded. “It’s just this process that’s a little pointless. Well, not even this.” She looked at Euridice, who now slept so sweetly over Sun’s left shoulder. Her sister was carrying the lesser Maiden like a lumberjack and a log of tree. “I was expecting ... something. Anything. Some kind of fight, some kind of challenge, but not even this!”

“Ay. We have grown too powerful too quickly.” Sun shrugged, and unwintingly made Euridice jump on her shoulders. “Oops!” After a brief moment of worry, she heard her sister giggling in her sleep. “Oow, look at her. She’s just like a baby!”

“A two-thousand pound, six feet tall baby.”

“That-a big baby-ee!”

Moon chuckled. “Even if we haven’t grown at all, wouldn’t make a lick of difference.” Under her robes, the goddess made only the flimsiest check on her body, her muscles. WROOOM!! Even with that tenderest of thinnest of motions, the entire arena hummed with her power: muscles hardening, fibers swelling, veins popping and growing, blood pumping hard and audibly, heat rising with her barest of intents. “Power.” She uttered sweetly to herself, and even her self-controlled sister Sun felt the heat growing in her breast. And her groins. “Pure ... power.” She wanted so damned hard to flex, to flaunt, but Euridice’s presence was a painful lock that always kept her ambitions in check. “This body of ours ... every single cell inside of us is enough to beat a strong Maiden.”

“Now you are exaggerating.”

“I am, but by much?” A firm shake of her head, causing rumbles to echo so easily against and between every mighty column. “Nay. It’s honest, that’s what I a’. The thinnest fiber of our bodies beats the whole bunch of our class. We are beyond even the possibility of enjoyment in any fight, so why the protocol?” Again, a slight twinge of contempt as she looked at the blissful face of Euridice, who was sleeping so damn comfortably on Sun’s wide, mighty shoulders. “Just give us Maidenhood and ship us straight to our Mistress, where the real fight can finally begin!”

“I agree with you on this one. I myself have grown a little restless this past year.” Every time Sun was reminded of such feelings, she turned her gaze towards the skies, and the beauty of Nature’s blessings never failed to soothe her back into an almost religious elation. “But the Headmistress denied our request and established this examination instead. We know better than to defy her intentions, let alone her direct order.”

“The Headmistress.” Moon spoke solemnly, and now both sisters walked quite slowly. Their powerful shoulders and unbreakable backs, always so high and straight, now the weight of something greater to pull them down, bend them, and give them some humility. “Did you see her?” Both women were very close to giggling like two teenage fools. “Yeah, right? She’s amaaazing!” “That power! That presence! Ooof!!” Moon fanned herself with her hands under her robes, the beautiful white cloth fluttering with grace and lockstep with her stride. “The power, the heat that emanated from her! What a woman!”

“I know, right? She’s absolutely buff!”

“So big! She must be at least seven feet tall!”

“Oh, that’s beyond question! I actually wonder if she’s taller than or just closer to eight feet tall. I myself am barely seven!” She shivered intensely, and even her organs were dancing. “Do you know how awesome it would feel to just be mogged by such a goddess? To stand next to someone who actually cast a shadow upon us? To feel her superiority, her might???” She was almost too excited for her own sanity. “Fuck-fuck-fuck, now I want to end this as quickly as possible!”

“Yeah. Should we take a quicker stride?”

“Agree-eed!”

So the goddesses began to trot, and in their trot they moved as if they were levitating. The yards became inches, and their bodies flurries of white against the lavender darkness of the ring. The inner rings, closest to the arena, were finally reached and soon quickly skipped over. With barely a second’s thought, prancing over the space as soundlessly and elegantly as a bird gently tapping its feet on a lake’s surface in flight, the two beasts cut through space as if they were remaking it on their own accord—goddesses in their own right, in the most literal of senses. Master of Matter. Owners of Utera.

In every inch they flew over, they gawked at their Headmistress’ legendary power. “I was a bit surprised when I realized she too could tap into our minds.”

“Me too! Though, coming to think of it, of course such a powerful woman could do this. She ranks so higher above us, doesn’t she?”

“Regardless, it’s the first time this happens to us. Our intellect and reason alone can’t protect us from the sheer shock of finally ... meeting an equal.” Moon’s body brimmed with expectations. The long, gorgeous togas of both Beings produced no sound as their cloth fluttered so wildly with their gait. “I wonder how badly she’s going to beat us! I ... ooooh!” She fell a little behind, and Sun didn’t miss the opportunity to tease her for it: “Ah-ha! Now you know what it feels like to be poor Euridice here, huh, next to us?”

“Agreed. I just got my innards stirred a little just at the thought of it!” Her body was made hotter by the memories of their brief non-encounter in the arena back in the valley. “Her mere presence was like standing right next to the sun! Being able to ... stretch my hand and ... touch the magma!” She sucked her lips and licked them just like a starving glutton next to the world’s most wondrous buffet. “Fuck, she’s so hot! She’s so strong it’s craaazy!!”

“I know, I know! Oh, I know!” Their voices, always so feminine, climbed a couple of octaves higher, now sounding so sweetly girly! “Oh, never since childhood have I been manhandled! Spanked hot and heavy and put on my place!” She bit her lips and shivered. “Goddess! I really hope she lives up to the expectations! I’m dying to get my butt kicked!”

Moon purred behind her. “I am more than eager to do the kicking. And other sweet, merry things.”

Sun purred as well. “Let’s finish this and perhaps, then, you can come and finish me tonight, baby.”

“Hell, yeah.”

The sisters stood a little farther apart and talked no more after this. Their loins, they felt it, were too deeply stirred, their groins sizzling, their crotches hot and heavy, begging for release. Their entrance in the arena proper helped distract them from their feelings and their rising heat. “Wow.” Moon whistled.

“Indeed, wow.” Sun herself was truly lost in marvel. “Wonderful building, isn’t it?” The arena, which looked inconceivably big even the goddesses, sprawled to such lengths that each of their sides, when seen from the opposite end, seemed to sink into the horizon, and every inch of its surface was just as splendorous as the shining columns from before—but perhaps even more so, for the light now were more densely concentrated, and their watercolor richer, deeper, and more varied. The dome of the building, which could probably contain a hundred football fields, shone as if instead it contained a galaxy, and looking upon it was even better, purer an experience than looking upon the night sky. “This is like staring at the stars while in outer space ourselves.” The goddesses no longer rushed, but paced admirably and awestruck, looking up like two beautiful fools. “It’s like we’re floating in space.”

“Maybe. I do admit that the warmth of Gaia is much better than the coolness of space itself.” “Okay, here we are.” Sun was rushed in her words. “Well, not really. A couple more steps.” She looked sassily at her sister. “Wanna see who gets to the center first?”

“No. You’re carrying a load. Ain’t a fair competition.”

“Or course it is.” She shook her ships. They rumbled with power. Even with the heavy toga covering almost every inch of her perfect form, the act was already almost too arousing even for her mighty comrade. “I know I need some handicaps in order to fight you on equal standing. So small, weak, and puny that you are.”

Moon smiled. Knuckles were cracked. “I’m going ot break you.”

The two knew each other already, knew what made each other tick. For Sun, it was an overly arrogant behavior and belittling attitude. For Moon, it was brash provocation and hollow bravado. Sun knew too well how her sister was especially peeved by being called inferior—and their long nights of back-breaking, bloody fights proved this was the quickest way to get her to hold no punches, to go all-out on her pretty, fair-skinned ass.

“Don’t flatter yourself.” From her hoods, their smiles were beaming. “Every time we fought, I was holding back. No more.” A lick of the lips. A loud smack! “I’m going to enjoy breaking you. Splitting you. Tearing you apart. Beating you until you’re begging for mercy.”

To her slight surprise, Moon turned abruptly and walked away. “This is your fight, sister.” She gestured towards the sleeping Euridice. “Finish it first.” With a soundless leap, the goddess rose to the audience stands and sat on one of its wide, comfortable seats—more a throne or an armchair than a seat, really—as lazily as she was sitting on that column before. “I know too well we both won’t control ourselves if we keep this sexy banter.”

Sun nodded. “Hmm.” And she resumed walking towards the center of the stage, from which she was still too distant. “You’re very right. Take your time to cool off while I get to the middle.” “Ah, yeah, this is what I was going to say, also.” Moon snapped her fingers a couple times. “Stay where you are. Ain’t no need to walk any further, sister. It’s not as if we’re taking this exam toooo seriously, you know.”

Sun considered her words and found them reasonable. “Yay. You’re right.” She stopped and stood where she was. “It’s not as if we’re going to make full use of this beautiful place with Euridice. Oh, poor Euridice.” She laid the heavy sister on the ground, and the beautiful thing curled up on a fetal position, snoring so adorably, like a kitten. “Oh, how adorable. She looks like she’s going to suckle her thumb.”

“We are literally fighting overgrown babies.”

“Moon-oon!”

“Okay, I’m sorry. I apologize.”

“Mmph!” She knelt next to Euridice. “I’m afraid this is my duty in life, isn’t it? To keep your arrogance and your mockery under control!”

“Ya-ya, drama queen.” She tilted her head. “Are you going to bless her?”

“Yep! This is an awesome opportunity to try my skills. Practical application at last!”

“Oh, wait for the Headmistress.” She looked around, getting a feel of the environment. “Judging by the ... normalness of it all, I guess our Mistress is still far—doing goddess-knows-what.”

“You’re correct, but I’m not going to bless her too hard.” Risking showing a little bit more skin, Sun moved her hands up and out of her toga, then over the torso of her wonderful colleague. “Just a little something so that she has a nice sleep and doesn’t wake up too startled, too confused. Seeing our sisters almost dying with hotness and arousal with our mere presence, yeah, it’s nothing I’m never going to tire of.” A bite of the lip. “It’s so sexy! So empowering! But now I need a little more seriousness. This fight is going nowhere if they keep taking our aura without any protection.”

“Or perhaps it will go somewhere, but this somewhere if very anticlimatic. You know, she takes too much of our power, of our scent, and just drops dead.”

“Drops dead! Oh, you and your exaggerations.”

“Oh, you and your intentional misunderstandings.” Under the hood, Moon made a silly face. “You know full well what I meant, bunny. Anyway, you want me to stay silent while you perform your blessing.”

“Actually no. I would like you talk.”

“Really?”

“Hmm-hmm!” Sun couldn’t help herself from being incredibly lovely even in her most casual of gestures, such as this nod she’d just given. “I need to see how focused I can be with distractions.”

“Distractions, eh? This is what you consider me to be?”

“Oh, who’s being ‘intentionally misunderstanding’ now, huh?”

Moon winked. “Well, start, then, honey-bun. Stop paying attention to me and start strengthening our sister.”

“Already on it. Hmmm...”

Moon leaned on to watch her sister. Sun had closed her eyes, and her arms moved only very tenderly, almost still when seen from afar.

Sun took deep, measured breaths, feeling the power (but not the heat) surge on her body, then focusing said energy on her hands, from which it dripped upon Euridice’s body like a shower of might.

Moon whistled. Her devious smiles meant only one thing: “You’re looking really sexy tonight, sister.”

Sun smiled. “Thanks.” She would need way more than that to distract her, that fiend! “Unfortunately, I know I’m always sexy, so your praise is rather lame.”

“I see. Tired of having the world on your feet, eh? Though yours are indeed feet one loves to lick and suck.” Moon ran her fingers on her lips. The arena rumbled with the sound of her powerful skin-to-skin play. “Your thumb on my mouth. Love to suckle on it like I do your nipples.”

Sun felt the sexiness rising on her breast, and the flow of her energy intensified considerably. Euridice began to move rather uncomfortably, as if assaulted by bad dreams. «Easy now, girl. Easy. Easy.» She wasn’t shy of replying while toning down her might and getting a hold of her spirits. “I will have my feet on your face, oh, I will, though I don’t think you shall find it pleasant.”

“Oh, oh!” She mocked. “You mean on a fight?” A loud, luscious lick of her lips. Smack! “As if that made me any less excited! Would love to have you rip these heavy clothes from my body and just beat me! Pummel me! Make me suffer.” Rumbles and roars multiplied. The shining of the arena seemed to be singing for the goddesses. “My body is so hard right now is inside.” The sound of hands moving over skin ... touching and squeezing pure, hard muscle! “If you saw how sexy my abs look like how, and how swollen my tits have gotten!”

“Mmm!” Sun purred. “You do have some almighty tits.”

“And almighty everything.”

“Ay.” She felt so happy! “I would love to be kissing your sexy body right now.”

Moon was impressed. “Your blessing is going fine, isn’t it?”

“Yes!” Sun beamed like a little girl. “Yes, it is, sister! She’s looking like an angel right now! Oh, her mind is fortified!” She moved her hands more widely now over Euridice’s torso, focusing on her lower body and her limbs. “She’s going to wake up feeling the best she’s ever been.”

“You’ve made mad progress, sister. I remember how much you struggled with this power at first. Well, I did too, but you were quite worried about it—more so than I’d ever seen you worry about anything before.”

“Hmm-hmm!” There was no shame or heaviness of any kind in her agreement. “I was arrogant! I am pretty and damsely and innocent-looking...”

“For a twenty-tonne, six feet and six inches tall musclebound blond beast, you mean.”

“Sure.” She made a cutesy wiggle with her shoulders, then shooshed her sister. “Now let me finish.”

“Ain’t doing nothing.”

“I’m this picture-perfect pretty damsel everyone expects to be the one in touch with her feelings and all that—and I am! I am in touch with my feelings! I am the delicate, soulful one here.”

“I’m quite delicate and kind already.” Moon feigned offense. “People are racist, that’s what.” “Of course you are! You’re probably even more empathetic than I am—but I just look kinder, you see.”
