I was already sitting on the patio when Grandma came out with two steaming mugs of coffee. She set mine down in front me before taking her seat, putting her feet up on the table and nestling her mug between her breasts. The first time I saw her do that it was weird. Now, it was normal and expected. Frankly, it made sense. Her breasts hugged the mug, and it wasn’t going anywhere.

I smirked at the scene before me.

“What’s that look for?” Grandma asked.

“Oh, nothing,” I replied, still smiling.

“Don’t give me that. What is it? Do I have something on my face?” she asked, wiping her face with her hands just in case there was something there. There wasn’t but I started laughing regardless. “Sam, you have to tell me!”

“Like I said, it’s nothing,” I tried to stop smiling but it was no use. “It’s just how you always put your coffee mug between your umm—” I pointed to where the mug was currently between her tits. “You know...”

Grandma scrunched up her face and looked down at the mug snuggled between her breasts. It took her a second to figure it out, but when she did. “Oh!”

“Yeah.”

“Why wouldn’t I keep it there?” she questioned me. “When it’s chilly in the morning, the warmth of the mug feels good.”

I hadn’t thought about that, but that too, made sense. Then I wondered if she would move it between her legs when it was colder. I’m sure the heat of the mug would feel good there too. I shook my head, shaking those thoughts from my head.

“I bet it does,” I chuckled, and she smiled.

“I’m sorry your friends left yesterday.”

“My friends...” for some reason I didn’t understand what she was talking about. Then it hit me. “Oh, you mean the girls. Yeah, that kind of sucks.”

“Some people just can’t...” Grandma paused, thinking about what she wanted to say. “Some people just don’t have self-control or know how to follow the rules.”

“Yeah, but to leave like that? Just pack up and leave?”

“That shocked your grandfather and me, let me tell you.”

“Didn’t they already pay for the cabin for the summer?”

“Yep, they did,” Grandma nodded.

“Oh man,” I sighed.

“We gave them their money back for the rest of the summer.”

“Really?”

“It was either that or they might cause us problems in the future.”

“How could they cause you any problems?”

“Nothing serious, don’t worry about something like that,” Grandma quickly replied, reaching over a hand to place it on my knee. “Just know that they could have but they won’t now. Okay?”

“I guess so,” I nodded. “Just sucks you had to give them their money back.”

“Yeah, but Jeff and Sheila gave us what we had to pay them.”

“They did?” I asked, stunned and Grandma’s eyes flew wide at the realization of what she just told me.

“Sam, this is very important,” she explained, her voice low and serious. “You can’t say anything about it, not to anyone.”

“I understand.”

“Good,” she took her hand off my leg and sat back in her chair. “Thank you. I shouldn’t have said anything.”

After a quick shower I hustled over to Jeff and Sheila’s cabin for breakfast. I was still two cabins away when my mouth started to water from the smell of sausage that thoroughly permeated the air. I was already running, but the glorious aroma of Sheila’s cooking added an extra gear to my stride and when I got to the cabin, I jumped, clearing every single step and came to a skidding halt on the porch.

“Come on in, Sam,” Sheila called from inside. “Breakfast is ready!”

I opened the screen door and saw Sheila and Jeff working together in the kitchen and Shawn and Stephanie sitting at the table waiting patiently. I didn’t see Michaela until I sat down and glanced around.

“She’s still in bed,” Shawn jerked his head in the direction of the two beds that had been moved together the day before.

That’s when I noticed those two beds had been moved apart and Michaela was sitting on one of the beds, her back resting against the wall and her hair askew. She didn’t look happy at all.

“We saved you a seat,” Stephanie announced, patting the chair next to her.

“Thanks,” I replied and sat down.

“Everything okay?” I asked Shawn as quietly as I could, and he nodded.

“She’s just pouting.” Shawn indicated Michaela and rolled his eyes telling me she was making a bigger deal about it than she should.

“Who wants hash browns?” Sheila called.

“I do!” All three of us chorused, our hands reaching high in the air as if we were back in school and desperately wanted to be called upon.

Jeff just shook his head and smiled at us, but Sheila was laughing, her smile bright which brought some color to her cheeks.

“Hold out your plates,” She commanded and all three of us rushed to do exactly that. “The sausage will be ready in a couple seconds.”

After about five or six minutes, our plates were heavily laden with sausage, cheesy scrambled eggs, and golden hash browns. I licked my lips as I stared at the pile of food. We were ready to eat. Jeff and Sheila sat down; their plates decidedly less full than ours.

Jeff turned to look at Michaela.

“Are you going to come eat or just sit there and sulk in bed all day?” The glare Michaela gave her dad was a sight to behold. If it had any effect on him or anyone else in their family, you could have fooled me. Jeff just shrugged. “It’s your choice.” When he turned back around, he didn’t look mad at all. If anything, he looked happy... “Let’s eat.”

My God the food is good. I was moaning and groaning from pleasure with each and every bite. The hash browns were crispy and perfect, the eggs were fluffy and cheesy, and the sausage had a spicy sweetness to it that was impossible to truly describe. All of it together, heaven.

Michaela never did join us. To make matters even stranger for me, no one seemed to mind that she was just sitting there across the room from us while we ate to our hearts content. I know if this had been our cabin and my family, there was no way Sara or I were going to be left alone like that. If anything, we would have been forced to sit at the table, not on the bed. Still, this wasn’t our cabin, and it definitely wasn’t my family.

“If everyone’s done eating,” Sheila announced, getting up from the table. “Please put your plates in the sink before you guys go do whatever it is you’re going to do today.”

“No problem,” Shawn announced, hopping up to his feet.

“That was delicious,” I announced, my stomach feeling full to bursting. “Thank you!”

“You’re welcome, Sam,” Sheila grinned.

“Michaela, you need to get out of bed,” Jeff announced as he gathered up his plate and took it into the kitchen.

“I’m just going to stay here,” Michaela grumbled.

“No, you’re not,” Jeff said, his tone firm but not angry, but I could tell his patience was wearing awfully thin.

“Why not?” Michaela argued. “I don’t want to have to follow those kids around.”

Those kids she was referring to were her brother, sister, and me. Shawn groaned and Stephanie actually growled. It was cute when her face scrunched up in anger.

“You will get out of bed, and you will spend time with your sister and brother or else!” Sheila snapped. There was no mistaking the anger in her tone.

“Or else what?” Michaela snapped and Shawn, Stephanie, and I gasped.

“Don’t you dare test me, young lady!” Sheila stomped around the table and marched right up to the bed Michaela was still sitting on. Her shoulders were raised, and her hands were clenched into tight fists at her sides. She was furious!

“It’s not my fault?” Michaela roared, sitting bolt upright as her face reddened with enough anger to match her mothers. “It’s not like I forced him to fuck me!”

There was an audible chorus of gasps from everyone in the room and Stephanie, Shawn, and I all froze, slack jawed.

“Michaela—”

“I can handle this,” Sheila said, cutting Jeff off before he could finish another word. They exchanged glances and Jeff nodded. The scariest thing was that Sheila’s voice was somehow calm and a chill ran down my spine.

I didn’t understand how someone could be that angry a moment before and then be completely calm a second later. I had just seen it with my own eyes and to be completely honest, that terrified me.

“I was the one who thought she was ready to act like an adult. I’ll handle this since she is obviously not.”

“You, young lady, have no idea the problems you’ve caused with your little stunt,” Sheila’s voice was still at a normal level, but her words were clipped and sharp as a razor. If that registered or even affected Michaela, she didn’t show it. “Do you realize those people fled from camp because of what you did?”

“No,” Michaela replied, her chin up and she turned her head away from her mother as she crossed her arms across her chest like she didn’t think it was that big of a deal. It most certainly was. I knew that for a fact. “Why would they do something so stupid as that?”

“You know exactly why!” Sheila snapped. That made Michaela flinch, but she tried to school herself to make it look like she hadn’t reacted. It didn’t work, we all saw it. “You just couldn’t take no for an answer and thought the rules didn’t apply to you. You knew what his wife said.” Michaela’s head snapped around to face her mom, but Sheila didn’t give her the chance to speak. “Everyone knew what the limits were. We all, including you, agreed to them. You were not to touch him. Period!”

“But—”

“No!” Sheila’s sharp tone sliced through the room. “You knew the rules. Yet you chose to break them. And not only that, but you did it right in front of his wife!”

Holy shit! The secret was now officially out.

“What do you have to say for yourself?” Sheila demanded. “You ruined their kids’ summer. Ruined it! What would you have said if you had to suddenly pack up from your summer vacation like they just did, hmm? I’ll tell you what you would have done, you would have thrown a fit!”

There was a long pause after that. No one was willing to move, let alone make a sound and risk drawing Sheila’s ire. The silence stretched on and on awkwardly to the point where I started to feel like there was pressure on me to say something just to break the silence.
