BDSM Sex Story: Chapter 6: Tuesday, February 27, 2007 - The fourth volume of my ongoing BDSM soap opera. I advise starting at the beginning.

Li Kuan

Standing on the dock, she watched the Belasco move away headed for Manado in North Sulawesi. She glared at the waxing gibbous moon, glowing in the sky.

Climbing up the side of a converted oil tanker in the bright moonlight.

“I’ll fucking pass,” she growled.

She walked to the street and hailed a cab.

The ride back to her un-air-conditioned room at the Lucky Hotel gave her time to berate herself for not taking the phase of the moon into consideration.

“Hello, Li Kuan...”

“The phase of the goddamn moon, Master Newton.”

“Hadn’t considered that, it was mighty bright last night.”

“And will be again tonight. I have a plan ... the new moon is on March 19, and according to your sources, the Belasco will be at anchor at Manado. I have plenty of time to prepare.”

“Look, I know you’re upset, and I understand why-”

“I want to rip someone’s throat out with my teeth!”

“I get that...”

“I want to just blow the ship up!”

“And the problem with that is...”

Li Kuan sighed.

“I could not know for sure the Nelson spawn were dead.”

“And I’m not sure you could get enough explosives to pull that off planted without someone noticing.”

“I am aware.”

“Do you have an exit strategy?”

“Yes ... unless someone gets a very good picture of me and shares it with the authorities, I have several false identities with credit cards. If the worst happens, I have cash enough to bribe my way on to a freighter.”

“That sounds difficult...”

“Easier than you think, and I have done it before ... several times, in fact.”

“Fascinating life you’ve led...”

“Yes. Good evening, Master Newton.”

Eighteen days. Eighteen days to prepare.

“What n ... now...” Jimmy was wracked by a coughing fit that went on far too long.

When it ended, Li Kuan said, “Drink some water, compose yourself.”

“Like that will help ... there ... all right ... why aren’t you...”

“The moon. Altogether too bright.”

“Who could’ve foreseen that...”

“Do not. Just do not. I want the supplies in Manado. I want to be able to live on a boat for several days, with your contact if possible, before Belasco’s arrival so we can plan and train. If this attempt is postponed, I am reasonably sure I will go on a killing spree.”

“That would be bad.”

“Yes.”

Jimmy had another coughing fit, not as bad as the first.

Once he recovered he said, “You know, you’re not used to this kind of failure.”

She wanted to reach through the phone line and rip out one of his lungs.

Instead, she took a moment, then said, “You are correct. I do not handle failure well. The first time was due to the lateness of your contact, but this ... I have no one to blame but myself.”

“Li Kuan, I’ve known you ... for too long, frankly ... look, normal people fail regularly. You’re not normal. I doubt you ever were.”

You were ... once, but it was so very long ago.

Her beloved Mistress’s voice so faint, so distant.

“No, I’m not. I hope to be flying to Manado early tomorrow, have your contact meet me there as soon as possible.”

“Will do.”

“When did you see your doctors last?”

“Three days ago. I’m continuing to die on schedule. Tiki will be handling your business soon.”

“Hospice?”

“Yes.”

There were things she wanted to say ... but they were things ‘Li Kuan’ wouldn’t say. They were apologies and regrets and reassurances full of false hope and foolishness.

“Will I have to cut off one of his fingers?”

“Maybe two.”

“Goodbye Jimmy.”

“Goodbye, Li Kuan. Take care.”

Thad

“Vanity,” he said, “tell Puppy her Mistress is well and the next attempt is March 19th.”

He watched her leave, admiring her lithe and fit figure.

The staff he’d ... bought ... from House Industria were performing better than expected, which let him sleep easier. The security staff still wasn’t up to Karghold standards, but his sons were working with them to correct that.

Things were ... things were actually good – other than the kids being in hiding with a price on their heads. ‘Good’ was something he’d despaired of ever enjoying again.

Kjirsten ran in with shopping bags, grinning like a crazy woman.

Things were good indeed.

“So, that’s where things stand, sweetie,” he said.

“Daddy ... do you really think they’re still on board?”

“I don’t know. I want to believe ... but we’ll know for sure soon ... soon-ish...”

Donna laughed.

“Well, it could be worse, Daddy. Where we are is ... nice. I don’t want to stay on the run, but so far the accommodations have been great.”

“How are you handling the ... isolation, I guess?”

“Plenty of distractions, lots of sex, as well as school, hitting the gym – not bad for an estate organized as this one is, training with Helen. Meditation and cocktail hours and ... we’re really very busy. Sometimes things happen and the schedule is thrown out the window for a day, but in general, things go as we’ve planned.”

“Good ... I imagine the number of people in residence helps.”

“Yeah. Sometimes this estate feels more like a village.”

“Well, keep the village safe and sound.”

“We will, Daddy. Love you.”

“Love you too, precious.”

Susan

“What?!”

“Susan, calm down, he’ll be okay. He’s at Sisters of Mercy, Dr. Lowry says his prognosis is good. He was bicycling home from the store, he got clipped pretty hard by a motorist ... and then physics happened.”

“I’m coming home!”

“Yes. Yes you are. Nancy Velacourt offered her jet, but for security reasons, you’re booked on American, first class, flying out of ... wherever you are, at 8:15 local time. Madam Gao handled the booking. You’ll be home in sixteen hours, more or less. Whenever you end up arriving at Waterloo International, a car will be waiting to take you straight to the hospital.

“The most important thing for you to know is he’s going to be okay.”

“Jason, all of you, I’ve got to go...”

“Yes you do,” Jason agreed immediately. “Your husband is in the hospital. All our love and prayers go with you.”

“I don’t ... Jason, you’re...”

“I’m your orally-fixated boy toy,” Jason said, smiling.

Susan laughed and her body relaxed just a bit.

“Yeah... ‘orally-fixated boy toy’, that’s you.”

“Susan, I’m prescribing a bowl or two, and then Noc will work massage magic until you’re asleep. Otter, you keep her company,” Jason said. “Pretty sure the world will turn without you kicking its ass for one night.”

“Yes sir.”

“I’m going to call Dad back and check on Mother-Margo.”

Harry

He was half expecting the call.

“Hello, son. How’s Susan?”

“On her way to stoned and massaged and asleep with Otter.”

“A sound plan,” Harry said. “So, today’s update. The blood thinner’s continues to work as time flushes the drugs out. This is ... we knew this was going to be hard...”

“Dad ... is there anything we can do ... we could come home...”

“No you cannot. Don’t even think that.”

Harry took a moment to calm himself.

“You stay in Tu ... you stay right where you are.”

Jason said, “You know.”

“Yeah ... it was a mistake. One of Madam Gao’s assistants sent Susan’s flight information – all of it.”

“Including where she’s departing from.”

“Yeah,” Harry sighed. “Including that.”

“Shit ... Parker’s gonna have a fit. Not because you know,” Jason said quickly. “But because that mistake may have traveled elsewhere, added to his stress over Susan flying out.”

“And all of you are real tired, weary, of living in fear.”

“Yeah ... that’s part of it, but mostly we don’t talk about that. I don’t think about it much. After what happened at Hau’oli Mala, I worry more about our staff. I don’t want anyone else dying because a pair of psychos want us delivered to them wrapped in a big red bow.

“Selfishly, I also don’t want to spend long hours traveling by plane again, something I’m almost guaranteed will happen.”

“Yeah, y’all logged some serious air miles on your last move.”

“There are times I think my butt’s still numb.”

Harry laughed, It felt so very good to laugh.

“Who knows? Maybe you’ll end up someplace really nice.”

“Nice isn’t the problem, Dad. Hawaii, Tuscany? It’s been so lovely at each, and the estates are incredible, comfy beyond belief.”

“I imagine so ... Hau’oli Mala was ... okay, it was a little too ... something. Anti-cozy, maybe?”

“Yeah! I think that’s it! After the trip on the Li Mei, which was claustrophobically cozy, Hau’oli Mala felt ... too big. Too stark. Too ... for show, not for living in. I mean, that changed as we settled in, but in the beginning, kinda intimidating.

“And now, having figured that out ... I need to talk to the family. If they agree, we need to tell Grandmother to remedy that in our wing ... and at our house at Canglang.”

“Well, I’m sure there’s time to correct as desired. Anyway, I love you, son. I wish it was as easy to see you as it was in Hawaii.”

“I love you too, Dad. Yeah, that was nice. I could see you, Mom, any of my adopted mothers, just a short walk away. I will give Hau’oli Mala that. Having the wings like spokes on a wheel, a common area between them all? That was a great idea.”

Parker

Jason told him the news.

“I’m impressed you saw the possibility that the mistake didn’t stop with your Dad.”

Parker rubbed around his eyes with thumb and index finger, trying to head off the headache he knew was coming.

“Parker, hear me out,” Jason said. “We’re tired of running. Is there any way we can make this place ... a ... more difficult...”

“A harder target?”

“Yeah. Any way we can discourage anyone thinking about attacking this estate?”

Parker regarded Jason, running through ideas.

Any such effort would cost a lot, but money wasn’t much of a consideration.

“Put a trio of vehicle obstacles in front of the main gate. More security and more visible security. Infra-red cameras installed and monitored 24/7.”

“How long will all that take?”

“No idea.”

“Do you want me to call Grandmother or do you want to do that?” Jason said.

Parker chuckled.

“I’ll do it ... considering I’m on her payroll now.”

“Oh really?” Jason said. “Better pay?”

“Shit yeah ... and a nice retirement plan, medical is completely covered no matter what.

“And since I’ve been talking with Madam Gao, I’m in charge. Todd and Consuela are my executive officers.”

“Sweet! So, with these changes, how are you going to feel about us staying?”

“Better. Look, I won’t feel really good about anywhere, even someplace like Fort Knox, I’m just too paranoid. But, it’s a useful paranoia if I keep it under control – Todd helps with that a lot.

“Will hardening this estate mean we won’t get attacked? No. They may have to think long and hard about it though. The goal of handing y’all over to the Nelson psychos is not just the bounty – it’s living to spend it. The harder we make that, the better.”

Parker smiled.

“And all our prep as a deterrent makes it more likely my people will survive an attack. That comes second to your safety, but it’s a close second. I predict we’re going to have more memorial services before this is over, but I’d love to be wrong.”

“I’ll get out of your face then,” Jason said.

“You did good, Jason, spotting a possible issue and relaying it to me. Keep it up.”

“You got it. Congratulations on your new employer.”

“Thanks,” Parker replied. “Gonna be interesting.”

Jason

He’d gathered them in the master bedroom, told them what had happened, and about his talk with Parker.

“So, we’re done running,” Jason said. “How do you feel about that? Know that if you can’t deal with staying, you can take refuge somewhere else until all this blows over.

“Abby?”

“Relieved.”

“Donna?”

“About damn time.”

“Yan?”

“Yeah ... I’m with Donna.”

“Lizzy?”

“I agree.”

“Claudia?”
She sighed.

“My first instinct is to tell all of you you’re crazy and demand we run immediately. I’m barely stifling that instinct.”

“So, let’s call that a ‘no’. Lori?”

“Karg rules. Running is ... frowned upon, unless absolutely necessary. It isn’t in this case. We’ve got stone walls all around us. I’m good with staying.”

“Magda?”

“I’m stuffing down the same instinct as Claudia ... I ... batten down the hatches. We ride it out here.”

“Ryley?”

“I’m familiar with several Plum Blossom estates. I think we’re as safe here as anywhere else.”

“Galena?”

“Come for a visit, stay for the paramilitary assault. We stay.”

“Denise?”

“I get a vote?”

“Yeah,” Donna said. “You’re in this meeting. You get to voice your opinion.”

“I’m ... whatever you think is best.”

“Denise,” Jason said. “Yes or no. Stay or run?”

“Stay.”

“If any of you change your minds,” Jason said, “we’ll send you off, probably to some swanky ancient medieval castle on the Rhine river or something. I’m going to make the same offer to the subs.”

“I don’t expect many, if any, will choose to leave,” Yan said. “But, a question. Any idea how soon the extra security arrives?”

“No,” Jason replied. “But I imagine ... I hope it’ll be soon.”

“So the plan is to make anyone who wants to collect the bounty on our heads do the math. How likely are they to catch a bullet? Gotta be alive to spend a bounty. How hard is it going to be for them? At some point, the math will work in our favor. At some point no sane person would look at our security, the defenses, and say ‘yeah, I can make this work’.

“At least that’s our hope.”

He looked at his constellation, filling the dining area, serious faces, scared faces, solemn faces.

“If you want to leave, just leave forever, you can do that. Madam Gao will find you another place, or you can leave this life altogether. We’ll work something out.

“If you want to just go wait somewhere safer until we’re no longer being hunted, that’s fine, you can do that at one of Madam Gao’s other estates. We won’t blame you, we understand, believe me.

“So, anyone wishing to leave our service forever, raise your hand. Don’t be shy. If you’ve been with us any time at all, you know we’re okay with whatever your choice may be.”

Jason waited, looking at all those faces. He didn’t see much change in their expressions.

After several minutes, he said, “You can make this choice, or any other, at any time. Just speak with one of us.
