Chapter 6

Dinner talk was a little different from any other I’ve ever experienced at this table. It turns out my best friend and his mother have been engaged in incest for the past two years. They’re still Marius and mom and nothing’s going to change that.

The last of the pizza has been eaten and I’ve been given an interesting proposition. Take the blowjob as a singular event, or join them in bed. Threesomes have never been my thing, but this is no ordinary threesome, to say the least. Either way, I’m keeping my mouth shut about everything.

I can’t come to a conclusion, since either decision leads to too many unknowns right now. Without knowing how he feels about this, I’m left with too many questions. There’s only one thing I can do, which is find out.

I turn to Marius, since I can’t look at her without having my judgment clouded. “Can we talk in your bedroom?”

Marius nods with no sign of preference, which has been the problem right from the start. He rises without a word being spoken and I follow closely behind with a very real awareness of her eyes on us. Her desire is almost intoxicating, and I need to get space to think clearly.

Marius waits for me to pass and I enter the familiar surroundings of his room. The door closes behind me as my brain starts to lift from the fog she had created. Distance is a good thing during a moment like this and a closed door is even better.

The smell of pizza can still be found, but so can some other odors. It’s not the most pleasant scent in the world, since it’s one I’m quite familiar with. His sweat has permeated much, and no amount of cleaning can ever remove it completely. I look into his dark eyes in an attempt to read them, but he’s closed off for now. Marius doesn’t want his thoughts to impact my decision, which really sucks considering that’s exactly what I need.
