After that it was a haze, I worked like a robot. For that day and the next two days she taught me how to move, eat, speak and anything that belonged to be a royalty. Within those two days I was whipped a lot.

I never left my room at all. I wouldn’t talk to anyone. On the third day I did everything to her satisfaction. Drained the breasts of the milk girl while pissing in the mouth of the toilet girl. Fucking in the ass of the pleasure girl. Showing a wooden dildo in the bath girls’ ass as a reward for a job well done. Doing same for maid/dressing girls.

That night, I was instructed to dine with the family. I complied without protest, but my mind was elsewhere.

At the dinner table, I ate mechanically, moving my fork and chewing like an automaton. I spoke to no one, not even my youngest sister, who kept trying to gain my attention with small, cheerful remarks. Normally, I would have humored her, at least with a nod or a short reply, but tonight, I was numb to it all. I barely registered what was on my plate, let alone the conversations around me.

As soon as I finished eating, I excused myself and left without waiting for a response.

Later that night, I emptied the breasts of the milk girl, barely acknowledging her presence. With a half-hearted slap on her chest, I turned away and collapsed onto my bed, exhaustion overtaking me. Sleep came quickly, but it wasn’t peaceful.

The next morning, I was yanked from sleep in the most unceremonious way possible. One moment, I was in my warm bed; the next, I was airborne, flung straight into the bathroom. The shock of cold marble against my skin jolted me awake, but I didn’t react. I simply went through the motions—washing, dressing, doing what was required of me without a word or a thought of resistance.

When I was done, I found myself being dressed in workout clothes. Again, I didn’t question it. I had lost the will to care.

Cassie didn’t wait for me to move on my own. She picked me up as if I weighed nothing, slinging me over her shoulder like a sack of grain. I didn’t struggle, didn’t resist, didn’t even pay attention to where she was taking me. It didn’t matter.

When we arrived at our destination, she threw me into the training pit with enough force to make me roll across the dirt.

The impact should have hurt, but I barely felt it. I stayed where I landed, staring blankly at the ground.

Draven was the first to approach. He crouched beside me, his tone gentle but firm. “Asher, snap out of it. You can’t shut down like this.”

I didn’t answer.

He tried again. “I know you’re angry, but ignoring the world won’t change anything. You’re still a prince. Act like one.”

Still, I remained silent, unmoving.

Frustrated, he stepped back, sighing before walking away.

Then came my second brother, Kaelis. He was never one for patience. Unlike Draven, he didn’t bother with words. He grabbed me by the collar and hauled me to my feet, only to slap me across the face—hard. The sharp sting barely registered.

“Pathetic.” He sneered, his grip tightening before he threw me back down. “Are you even my brother? Or just some broken doll?”

I didn’t react. Not to his insults, not to the rough treatment.

Kaelis growled in irritation. He kicked dust toward my face before storming off.

None of it mattered.

I was a ghost trapped in my own body, and I didn’t know when—or if—I’d wake up.

I lay there on the ground, staring blankly at the sky, waiting for my next order, my next push, my next reason to move.

Then, suddenly, a face appeared above me, blocking out the sun. A face that ignited something deep inside me—anger, rage, and every burning emotion I had buried over the past few days.

Commander Adrian Kane.

The man I despised more than anyone.

His voice dripped with venom as he sneered down at me. “Pathetic commoner. I don’t know how you managed to become a prince, but let me be clear—I will never bow to you, you fucking commoner.”

He said it loud and clear, making sure everyone heard him.

The rage inside me boiled over, an inferno that could no longer be contained.

In an instant, I shot up to my feet.

For the first time in days, I felt something—pure, unfiltered fury. My fists clenched, my vision tunneled, and I could feel the blood rushing through my veins like molten fire.

It was only then that I noticed my brothers—Draven and Kaelis—standing off to the side, their faces twisted into scowls. They were about to step in, about to put Kane in his place. Even Cassie looked ready to intervene.

But they all froze the moment they saw my reaction.

They let me handle it.

I locked eyes with Kane.

“Adrian Kane.”

He turned to me with a smirk, confidence radiating from his every movement. He lifted a hand and beckoned me forward, as if daring me to attack.

That was it. That was the last spark I needed.

I lost it.

I stormed toward him, closing the distance in seconds. Before he could react, I grabbed him by the collar, lifted him off the ground with one hand, and threw him high into the air. He barely had time to process what was happening before I followed up with a devastating punch, sending him crashing into the dirt.

I didn’t stop there.

I lunged at him, fists raining down like a relentless storm. Every punch carried the weight of my pent-up frustration, my suppressed emotions, my hatred for this man who had dared to look down on me.

Kane tried to fight back, but I wasn’t giving him the chance.

A satisfying crack echoed through the training pit as my knuckles connected with his face again and again.

From the sidelines, Kaelis let out a sharp laugh. “That’s my brother!”

Draven, his voice carrying a hint of relief, called out, “Come on, brother! Get out of that dead shell!”

But I wasn’t listening.

Right now, there was only Adrian Kane.

And I wasn’t stopping until he understood exactly what kind of prince I was.

The satisfying crack of breaking bones echoed in my ears, feeding the fury that had consumed me. Kane’s screams were like a distant whisper compared to the roaring rage in my mind. His arms snapped in multiple places, his chest caved under my relentless assault, and his legs twisted unnaturally.

“Shit!”

That was the last thing I heard from him before a swarm of soldiers flooded the pit.

They rushed at me, their combined strength forcing me back. Hands grabbed at me from all directions, trying to restrain me. But I wasn’t done.

With a primal growl, I fought through them, knocking aside anyone in my way. My only thought was Kane. I had to finish what I started.
