Preface

Andy: Man of 27. Very alpha male, can be volatile and temperamental, but has not a mean bone in his body. The typical somewhat bad boy with the heart of gold. He became guardian to his younger brother, Nick, when the two were orphaned nine years ago. Andy is an extremely devoted and protective big brother to Nick, and loves him fiercely. His concern can be overwhelming and sometimes even smothering. He is also the typical goofy, dorky brother who simply cannot leave Nick alone for very long, always pestering and harassing him ... with love. Andy’s temper can be awesome, but he is careful not to unleash it on the very quiet, sensitive Nick. Andy worries about Nick even more so of late because of his lack of appetite, pallor, and exhaustion. He does not mince words, but generally means well. He is handsome in a wild way, his black hair shaggy and often worn back with a kerchief or headband. He frequently wears a baseball cap in reverse ... His arms are strong and tattooed. His ears and nipples are pierced. His body is very hairy. He dresses very casually, often in ripped jeans, t-shirts, and hoodies, with sneakers. Andy has large, soulful gray eyes which can be very kind or brutally piercing, depending on the moment. He has dated, but never had a steady girlfriend. He has a successful private practice as a massage therapist.

Nick: A 22 year old man, very introverted and shy, the polar opposite of his older brother Andy. He is quiet, sensitive, and is least alone when most alone, enjoying creative writing, artwork, old movies, and vintage music, including show tunes. He is also a very good actor and singer and has headlined in many plays and musicals. He plays the piano well and occasionally gives lessons. Nick struggles with severe depression and anxiety and of late has started taking meds prescribed by a psychiatrist. He has worshipped Andy since childhood in spite of his sometimes domineering personality. He also fears him a little, having never quite gotten over an incident not long after their parents’ accidental deaths when Andy whipped him after he came home late. Nick works as a resident assistant at a home for troubled teens. He has a quiet strength and a great sense of humor; also a severe lack of self confidence which Andy has been trying to instill in him all his life. Nick is 5 foot eight, around 140 pounds. His features are delicate, sometimes even angelic in the right light. His hair is light brown and longish, in an emo style. He dresses casually but neatly, favoring jeans and hoodies and Converse sneakers.

Scenario: Nick and Andy live in a very pleasant suburban house, comfortably but modestly equipped. Nick recently not only came out to Andy as gay but in a storm of emotion admitted his romantic love for him. Andy was flabbergasted but reacted by returning Nick’s love and accepting him as his devoted sub partner.
