Chapter 1

Julia Brookes was a happy young girl, with her 14th birthday only a week away. She was sad that her Mom had missed her last 3 birthdays, lost to a drunk driver, as too many others are. Julia’s Dad Ted, did everything he could to try and give his daughter all that he could but with only one salary coming in and the insurance policy on his wife not being what everyone would hope it to be in his situation, he found on occasion he couldn’t give Julia everything he wanted to. He got her involved in as much free stuff as he could, soccer and baseball through their church and cheerleading at her junior high school got her out of the house most often but what he tried to do was keep her in her ballet classes that her Mom had started her in and which Julia thrived in. Watching her float across a stage brought back memories of his wife when she was a dancer as well and thought it only fair that Julia follow in her footsteps if at all possible. Ted’s job was what kept him afloat from his nightmares of failing Julia somehow, his salary was pretty good he thought, and he got along with the new boss they hired, who surprisingly really took to Ted when he started last year. His boss was a huge man, probably 6 foot 6 inches at least and his weight showed he played football in college, mostly muscle when he saw him without his suit jacket on. At least 15 years older than Ted but they seemed to click right away and made work pretty enjoyable. Until that fateful day when Ted screwed up one of their biggest accounts and there was certainly hell to pay. It was embarrasing to the owner of both companies but luckily where it could have costs millions, Ted’s boss, Daniel Benson saved the damage to a couple hundred thousand dollars but there was still a pound of flesh that their customer wanted for this, it could have wiped out his company and Daniel having played ball with him in college, helped smooth things out a bit but Daniel took the hit on the money. But Brian Hanks, the owner of the other company threatened to pull his business unless Ted was put in his place and/or fired. As Daniel thought how he could get back in Brian’s good graces as he looked out his office window he saw a young attractive girl walking through the office. Picking up his phone he called his secretary asking who the girl was?Being told she was Ted’s daughter, A scheme came to mind about how he was going to fix things with Brian Hanks.

“Tammy, call Ted and tell him to meet me upstairs in the boardroom and tell him his daughter can wait for him in his office, it shouldn’t take long”.

“Yes sir, I will call him now”, as she hung up the phone with her boss.

Waiting for a few minutes, Daniel left his office and walked by Ted’s office, and pretended he just noticed Julia sitting there.

“Well hello there, who might you be”, Ted asked the girl. Not knowing who the man was but remembering her manners, she replied her name was Julia and she was waiting for her dad to come back from a meeting.

“Sorry young lady, my name is Daniel, I’m your Dad’s boss, nice to meet you Julia”, he told her. Daniel watched the girl sitting on the chair in her school outfit, he certainly loved those Catholic uniforms and noticed that the pretty blonde had a nice little package in her blouse and the legs looked nice and strong to be pulled around his waist.

“It was nice to meet you Julia, but I have a meeting with your Dad, so maybe we can chat another time”, and Daniel walked to the boardroom where he was baking a plan to get to know little Julia a bit better. Ted waited for his meeting to start and kept going through things in his head about the incident and how he hoped he wasn’t going to get fired because of it. Daniel saw Ted sitting at the table as he walked in and he put on his not happy to be here face, so Ted could see things were serious.

“I am not going to beat around the bush Ted, Brian Hanks wants you fired or jailed for what happened, and I am not sure I can fix things with him,” Daniel stated. Ted put his hands over his face and couldn’t help but start to cry, this was the last thing he wanted to hear.

“Daniel, I have been a loyal worker here for a long time, nothing has ever happened like this, I still don’t know how it happened,” Ted pleading his case.

“I know what kind of employee you have been, Ted, that’s why this is tearing me up, I don’t want to fire you, or see you go to jail, where would that leave your daughter, but our biggest customer wants a pound of flesh”, Daniel stated. Ted still hadn’t said anything but Daniel smirked a bit when he told Ted he would try again with Hanks, and for Ted to go back to his office and Daniel would let him know the final decision before the end of day. Ted was a mess when he got to his office and his daughter ran over to him asking what was wrong.

“It’s not good Julia, there was an issue with an account and the customer wants me fired, or worse, I could go to jail, my boss is seeing what he can do to get Brian Hanks to change his mind. Just then Daniel walked into Ted’s office and told him and Julia to sit down please. Getting to the point, Daniel told Ted that Mr Hanks wants to meet us tomorrow at his house to get Ted’s version and being a Saturday that he wanted Julia to join them as well adding with his daughter there, maybe things would turn out better. Julia looked at the man who might be able to save her dads job or out of jail and told him Saturday was her 14th birthday and maybe this will be her biggest present, Ted looked at Julia who nodded her head agreeing to meet the man who had her Dad’s fate in his hands.

“Great, I understand we will probably make a day of it if things go well so bring a bathing suit and a change of clothes”, he told the pair. Ted stood up and grabbing Daniels hand, told him thank you and hopefully things will be fixed. Daniel told them he would see them tomorrow and gave Ted the address.

“I guess this is good news Daddy, it could have been worse, right?” Julia asked.

“True, Julia but we will have to see what happens at Mr. Hanks’ place before we get ahead of ourselves,

Daniel walked back to his office with a big smile on his face and called his buddy Brian about the plan and the added bonus of Julia. Back in their football days, they double teamed quite a few “groupies” of the team and most were in their teens which both men loved.

“Brian, I am telling you that she is going to be worth every hard inch you give her and I am sure she is still cherry,” Daniel laughed.
