Chapter 2: The Tour
Lily had been in the Dairy Collective for what felt like an eternity. The days blurred into a monotonous routine of hormonal treatments, milking sessions, and regimented schedules. She had grown accustomed to the constant surveillance and the lack of privacy, but the emotional toll was immense. The hormones had finally kicked in, and her body was now producing milk, making her a fully functional hucow in the eyes of the Collective.
One day, as Lily was hooked up to the milking machine, she heard the distant murmur of voices and the shuffle of feet. It was unusual; the hucows were typically isolated from the outside world, their existence reduced to the confines of the Collective. Curiosity piqued, Lily looked up from her station, her eyes scanning the observation deck above.
To her horror, she saw a familiar face among the crowd of tourists. Thomas, her former husband, stood there with a smug smile, his arm wrapped around the waist of a woman Lily had never seen before. Beside them were two children—Lily’s children—looking around with wide-eyed curiosity.
Thomas pointed directly at Lily, his voice carrying down to the milking station. “She seems happy enough! Much more productive here than at home. Plus, I used the money from her sale to buy you this ring.” He gestured to the engagement ring on his new fiancée’s finger, a gleaming symbol of his betrayal.
The fiancée laughed, leaning in to kiss Thomas on the cheek. “You’re so thoughtful, darling. It’s a beautiful ring.”
