Chapter 17

It court time, Stuart advised Sims has been charged with a string of offences together with Johnny de Greek. They are to appear in a hearing court and we have been asked to attend. Merlin is our accompanying adult in this instance. We did not want Raven to attend, Merlin agreed. Well the court was well attended with police and press. The Bailiff fronted court to the same Judge and advised “We regret to inform the court but both de Greek and Sims were the subject of a few prisoner attacks and have passed away this morning.” The Judge closed the case.

Superintendent Howard presented the Judge, through the court with a confidential request for payment to Merlin. The Judge opened the note and marked the form. He requested the Superintendent to initial the alteration. When he saw the change he agreed and initialled the note and smiled. The Judge did agree to this part of the matter to be confidential and approved the payment.

The press gallery disappeared in a matter of seconds. The Judge stated “Superintendent Howard, and others, I applaud you and your group for the time and effort of your team of officers and civilians in this investigation and thank you for preliminary information. I can see a number of local and interstate cases being closed with the passing of the accused.” The court was closed.

We walked out to the local restaurant and had a cuppa with the Super. He showed Merlin the adjustment of his request for reimbursement and was well and truly surprised.

On the ride home Merlin advised “The Super asked for $3m and the Judge raised it to $5m. They believe the ongoing mental thoughts will not go away. I tend to agree. Well at least money would not be a problem to us and yes Son, I will pay back for your money help.”
I advised “Dad, don’t worry about any payback, you enjoy your funds with Mum and have a good holiday to recover.” Even we could see the amount of physical loss through the process.
Luna stated “Dad, take Mum and go and visit some of the world sites you have always talked about. That will help you put your mind to rest. You did a brilliant job of getting him put away. Karma has taken it’s role.”

Merlin smiled at Luna and said “Thanks.” We agreed for him to speak to Raven on his own and we met up with them the following evening for dinner. When we arrived Raven held Luna very tightly and kissed her. She cuddled me and thanks us for our help. She was in relief of Sims no longer around. She was not the only one.

On Friday night, at the coven, it was announced regarding Sims and his demise. A lot of members were pleased the universe had dealt with him. The coven did a meditation and spirit banishment for Sims. This did help Merlin and Raven together with Dave. Dave saw me later and even he held me tightly for the news. I did thank him for his help as well.

Luna and I have made it a practice to visit each property every few month, just to look and check. We are always welcomed at the hotel and do enjoy a meal with Tom. He advised he is being promoted to GM Penthouse, to which he was very pleased. The only property we tend to miss is the beach house. We still need to clean out Miss Rose’s clothes. Dad does take the cars out for a ride every three months. As Luna is always with me, Raven does use her run-a-round car a lot. We don’t mind.

We have a marriage celebrant in the coven and I quietly spoke to her about my birthday. To say she was very happy is putting it mildly. She did agree to officiate. I spoke again quietly to Raven and my mum, together with the marriage celebrant they are planning a nice day for Luna. As my birthday is on the Sunday we are planning the wedding on the following Saturday. Tom has offered one of the entertainment rooms for our wedding and the Presidential suite for three nights. Luna has agreed to stay the Friday night alone, well with the mum’s. Saturday and Sunday it’s ours. We have around 80 odd guests. The list does include Tom, Superintendent Howard and Sargent Sally with their partners. We are awaiting to hear if Dwayne is going to be in town.

Life is now very nice and we are still undecided if to further our education.
