Chapter 11
I went around the following day to pick up Luna when I saw Merlin drive away, then I realised and asked Luna, “Do the police know we have his desktop computer at our river mansion?”
We waited until we got to school, by then her dad should be at the police station. We rang him and he had just parked. Luna mentioned about the computer at the river mansion and if they wanted it. We can go after school. He would message us back.
Luna advised me we would need to do our protection spells to dispense his, if any were left before the police attended. We agreed to go after school to attend.
We quickly left school, picking up the potions, sage stick, wands, oils, flowers, from Luna’s place, at my home we collected the keys, my wand and left a note to mum and dad we would not be home for dinner. We drove into the river mansion and quickly set up for the protection spells. It took around 20 minutes for us to complete. We finished and sat down in the kitchen for a drink when Luna’s phone went off. Dad said, “Luna, the police want the computer, where are you?”
Luna advised, “We are at the river mansion now and just completed the protection spells in the basement. We have not opened the computer or any of the filing cabinet draws.”
He spoke off the phone to Sally and the Superintendent, then said, “As we are at the river mansion now they will come up and do the search, if Joe approves without a warrant.”
Luna smiled at me and said, “Joe agrees to the search without a warrant, come up with them dad and we will take you home, if you want?”
Merlin stated, “We will be about 45 minutes, in the meantime do not touch anything. See you soon darling daughter.” We smiled at each other and Luna mentioned about the search requirements. Yes I did agree so the bastard could be put away.
Two police cars arrived in 40 minutes. The Superintendent got out with Merlin, Sally got out the other side. And who just walks up none other than that nasty neighbour. He demanded, “You better pay me out the million or your building could disappear.”
The Superintendent turns around and see’s him on my property and stated, “Well Johnny de Greek, It good to see you again, Constables arrest this criminal, we have outstanding warrants on him and we can add threatening behaviour to the charges.”
Luna called out, “Look out! a gun?”
I pulled both the Superintendent and Sally to the ground just as the shot was taken. If he remained standing, he would have been shot in the chest, As it was, the bullet passed through the back windscreen, through the door side glass and between Luna’s legs putting a hole in her skirt. It landed against a rock.
The constable not involved in the arrest ran toward the house. The shooter ran out the back and over the fence. The constable ran across the neighbours lawn and saw him turning to clear their side fence. He waited for his leg to appear, then pulled him down fast off the fence. As the shooter landed on the ground, the gun flew out of his hand forward. The constable dropped his knee onto the shoulder blade of the shooter. He immediately complained he could not breath, three times. The constable laughed at him saying, “If you can speak you can breath, you need air to talk.” He cuffed the shooter and collected his gun in a bag. Half dragging him back to the Superintendent.
He said, “Johnny, I see you still have a young boy for your pleasures? What your name son and how old are you? are you his latest bed mate.”
The shooter, in his sweet voice replied, “Sorry my lover Johnny, Piss off Copper, I’m only 15 so you cannot touch me.”
The Superintendent replied, “Still chasing the young boys Johnny, you know having a person this age is a no bail charge.” Looking at the boy, “Did Johnny teach you to shoot as well?”
The shooter replied, “Leave my boyfriend alone, we love each other. He promised to marry me when I turn 18.”
The Superintendent looked at Sally and the other constables, “Don’t suppose anyone turned on their body camera’s to record what happened?”
Sally smiled, “Mine is still running Sir!” The Superintendent smiled at her. Three other constables did turn on camera’s after Luna’s warning.
