My flower has gone to shop for a wedding dress. The thought makes me giddy. Her coming into my life has brought me a joy I have never known before.

I couldn’t wait for her to come home, so I ran in Wolf form around my pack territory.

The woods have always been a calming place for me, but right now, instinct tells me the outdoors is unsafe.

The wind slows and the quiet forest sounds becomes quieter.

Bruce feels the woods speaking to him. The nature around us is warning us of danger.

I turn around and see my uncle a few meters away with a grin on his face.

My side starts to hurt, my mind goes blank. I am stuck in something. I no longer feel like a strong Alpha. I sense a presence in my mind and everything goes black.

Amaryllis pov

I was trying on dresses but could not get the horrible feeling out of my head. All of a sudden, I collapsed in the dressing room.

May runs to my aid and looks worried.

“Something is wrong with Rowan.”

She helps me up and we are out of the store and back home in no time.

My body feels cold now. Like half of my spirit is frozen.

‘River, can you feel Bruce?’

‘No. It’s like he shut himself off. He is still alive though.’

What is happening to our mate?

As we get to the pack lands I can smell him along with the scent of blood.

“May stop the car!”

She does as I say and I get out. We walk into the woods and May looks scared.

“Do you know if any guards are patrolling this area right now?”

“I can link them to stay at the border.”

I nod and once she gives me the ok, we shift.

She sees my Wolf for the first time and she looks amazed. Her wolf’s name is Opal. Her wolf is pure white with a hint of silver sprinkled along her coat. She is the definition of beauty.

We start to run, knowing we have to find our alpha and can comment on this later.

She struggles to keep up with me. I come to a complete stop in my huge form which leads her to run into my back leg.

She shakes off the fall and comes closer to see what I stopped to look at.

She sees my eyes watering at the view in front of me.

I start to pick up my bloody mate that seems to be in a Coma like state.

‘May, tell everyone to stay away from this area and the area leading to the hospital. No one can see me.’

She nods with tearful eyes and as she ends her mind link, she looks at me like I am a ghost.

‘Lys, River is camouflaged!’

‘Oh ... cool, I didn’t know I could do that. ‘

This will come in handy.

I start my run to get my mate to doctor Lane.

As I do the tingly feeling on my back happens and I feel my wings start to unfold.

May will certainly have a lot of questions.

I end up at the hospital in less than a minute and realize May is far behind.

I turn back, not caring about my nakedness as I drag my mate as carefully as I can to the door.
