Chapter 5
Fiction Sex Story: Chapter 5 - Following the events from Snowed In, Linda and the students return to school to figure out what is next. As the days go on, each finds they may have changed somewhat from their experience. Should they not use the gas again, or was that just the beginning of their fun?

After a week’s delay, it was finally the day of the Science Fair. Amidst the tables adorned with particle board and print material, various parents, students, teachers, and school recruiters mingled about. The student presenters did their best to answer any questions posed to them by onlookers, getting themselves ready before the judges arrived to rank and grade their work.
There were more than forty tables set up in the cafetorium demonstrating different fields of study. Linda couldn’t help but smile as she looked at the turn out. So far this idea was a rousing success. Sure, the snowstorm the week before had been an issue, as well as everything that had transpired that night, but the main event seemed to be going off well.
As Linda did a quick pass around the tables, she took notes of some with the largest crowd. It was interesting to see which resonated best with the community. However, it wasn’t a popularity contest, the best science would win out. For some, like Brittany, it was her charming personality that seemed to resonate with spectators. For others, like Miguel, it was the entertainment factor, as his robot maneuvered around performing various tasks on command. And finally, there was Andrea, who just sat at a chair in her booth and said nothing to anyone. For in the week since the snowstorm, she’d created a Virtual Interface to handle all questions related to her project.
The less flashy presentations, like Warren’s chemistry display had less of a crowd but he did have a few recruiters chatting him up. Same with Darius, but Linda wasn’t sure if they were from the scientific community or from athletics. Either way, she hoped he got an opportunity to continue his academic journey past high school. Maggie and Quinn each seemed to have been doing well also, but Linda didn’t know much about physics or biology, so she couldn’t really get a read on their situations.
Linda watched as Karla livestreamed some interviews with some of the participants for her social media channel. It seemed kind of strange, considering her usual content, but it was nice to see the added exposure it could grant. Karla did seem to focus most heavily on her fellow Science Club members. Even Warren got a friendly interview where she asked what his project was about and nudged him to be friendlier to the audience via softball questions. If only the world knew what he recently had been working on with Brittany, it would blow their minds. Karla had asked to interview Linda, but she refused, not wanting to be on camera to a bunch of people she didn’t know. She didn’t want to be seen if she could help it, preferring to let the students shine.
Of the forty or so presentations, it seemed likely that one of the winners would be from the Science Club. That would make things interesting as earlier in the day, there’d been a challenge placed by Maggie in their secret Dis-CREET chat. It started off innocently enough with Maggie sharing the pictures she took of the hidden Drama classroom from the night before.
MA – Hey, we found this hidden room in the school last night. Would this work?
QU – Where is that? That’s crazy!
MI – Old classroom. I’d only heard about it in passing years ago. Looked abandoned
LI – Ok, we’ll check it out after the fair, good job.
BR – A good cap to celebrate my win at the fair
AN – I don’t think so scientist Barbie, I’ve made some improvements to my presentation
MI – Sounds like a challenge to me
DA – Should we make a bet? Winner gets whatever they want at Linda’s
A round of agreements and thumbs ups were followed by playful boasts and bravado. All that bluster and boldness dissipated once the judges started their official rounds on the floor. Linda watched as they stopped at each table and asked questions of the presenter. Each student straightened up, their answers detailed and professional, as the judges scribbled down notes before moving to the next student.
Even Andrea put down her laptop to greet the judges in her own voice before allowing her electronic stand in to do its function. There was a visible sign of relief as each was let off the hot seat, some collapsing on a chair for a brief respite. To a lot of these students, most from poor or working-class backgrounds, the Science Fair presented opportunities they might never get again. It was one of the reasons Linda had pushed so hard on the idea to the administration. She hoped, in turn, it could change the lives for a few of the students.
Each judge visited every presenter and made their evaluations. The group conferred for a short while before returning with their decision. The principal, Mrs. Polaski, signaled Linda to join her and the two of them walked to a microphone set up on the stage. It was time to announce the winner.
Mrs. Polaski introduced herself and started her speech. “First off, I’d like to thank everyone for a great showing for this first annual Science Fair. Next year, I hope we get to host it on the date we planned and that no students get locked inside overnight. I’d also like to thank the tireless efforts of Ms. Linda who worked tooth and nail to organize this event.”
Linda blushed and bowed, as clapping and cheers were heard from those gathered below. She spotted Warren, Brittany, and Karla in a cluster, as they anxiously awaited the results. The microphone was suddenly in front of Linda, who didn’t even know she’d be on stage.
“Hello everyone. Thank you for making this event a success. I’ve gotten to know some of you this year, a few of you much more than expected, and I know how stressful this all can be. Just remember, no matter what, the fact that you are standing here at all makes you a winner. Best of luck to everyone with their future endeavors.”
Linda passed the microphone back over to the principal to announce the winner. “Thank you, Ms. Linda. It is with great pride that I announce the 1st winner of the Madison High School Science Fair winner is ... Andrea Ashbury.”
There was a mix of applause, cheers, and a few groans from disappointed students who hadn’t won. Among those was Darius, who sat down dejected. Miguel came over to check on him and to pep him up, as they both watched Andrea receive a trophy and ribbon. Ms. Linda and Principal Polaski shook her hand and congratulated her on the stage. Photos were taken for the school yearbook with Andrea sporting a rare genuine smile.
As the school emptied, only a few remained behind. Linda and her Science Club offered to help clean up following the fair. Mrs. Polaski thanked them, since she had to take off for a family event, leaving Linda in charge. With one final congratulations to Andrea, she was gone and the nine were left once again in an empty school.
“Let’s clean this up quickly, we have to show you this room,” Miguel said as he flipped over an empty table to collapse the legs.
“Seriously, it’s crazy,” Maggie added, as she stacked some chairs.
The nine of them had the place spotless in less than twenty minutes. The tables were stacked under the stage and the chairs pushed into a small storage room. Any science equipment was returned to the lab by Warren, who seemed pretty quiet.
“Alright, this room is clean enough. Let’s see this place,” said Linda, with a mix of anticipation and fear. She was likely breaking another school rule that could get her fired, but at this point, what did it matter. In for a penny ... she thought to herself, as she followed Miguel, Maggie, and Darius to the darkened hallway.
Miguel pulled out his tools and pried the room’s wall open, as he’d done the night before. Maggie hit the lights as they all walked into the dirty room. Their eyes wide in disbelief that this place was hidden in the school.
“Wow, this place is great!” Karla said as she went to some of the prop containers.
Brittany ran her finger over a dust-covered table, “Could use a good cleaning first, but it has possibilities.”
Quinn looked at some of the costumes on a rack, a plastic knight’s armor caught his eye, “Why was it blocked like that?”
“Drama program shut down, I heard, so they shut it all down,” Miguel offered.
“That doesn’t make any sense, though,” Quinn continued. “Like, I get locking a door but the literally wall it off so it doesn’t exist seems like overkill.”
“I can ask around on Monday,” Linda suggested. “I’ll just ask why the school doesn’t have a drama program or something, some of the older teachers might know without tipping our hand that we found this.”
“Good idea.” Warren checked the couch to see how comfortable it still was. “This could do quite nicely for testing.”
“Oh yeah,” Andrea added with a sly smile. “Too bad about the motion cameras though.” She pointed towards two corners of the room with small white casings that no one else had noticed before.
“WHAT? Oh shit!” Darius yelled, clutching his head. “This day just gets worse and worse.”
“But we ... we’re so screwed!” Maggie turned red, and her voice trailed off.
“You didn’t think they’d block it off without SOME security, did you?” Andrea laughed before she added, “Thanks for the show last night by the way.”
A confused Miguel stepped forward, “Wait what? You knew?”
“Yeah, when I hacked the security system last week, I retained access. There were a few cameras I couldn’t place, like these two, so I set up an alert if they activated. I watched the whole thing last night,” Andrea laughed.
“We’re gonna get in trouble and you’re laughing about it?” The rage was evident in Maggie’s voice as she moved towards Andrea, but Andrea put her hand up to calm her.
“Seriously? After everything that’s happened, do you think I’d let you all swing for that. Of course I wiped the data and the activation log. As far as anyone else could see, it was nothing but a black room.”
“I ... I’m sorry,” Maggie said, as she stepped backwards.
“Thank you, Andrea. I mean it,” Darius added.
“No problem,” said Andrea to Darius before she turned to the group, “Now let’s get out of here and head to Linda’s. I want to celebrate my win.”
“Why don’t we just do it here?” Quinn asked. “No one else is in the school and we’ve got a good spot.”
“If someone sees the cars in the parking lot, people might ask questions,” Linda said. “Plus, this place needs a good cleaning before we do anything here. I don’t want to catch an infection or something. Let’s give it a few days to find out more, and maybe a couple of you can come in and clean up here and there.”
“That’s a good plan,” Brittany said. “Let’s get over to Linda’s. I think I could use something to get over my loss today, and Warren and I have worked on the formula.”
“I guess,” Warren replied, his voice sounding a little bitter.
“Uh, well alright then, on that note, let’s go!” Karla cheered. That got a rousing ‘Yeah!’ from everyone else except Warren.
Linda gave the group directions to her house, which was a few miles from the school. Linda took Andrea and Quinn, Miguel drove Darius and Maggie, and Brittany took Karla and Warren. Linda didn’t want too many cars parked in her driveway which might raise questions. She could hide a couple of cars around back near the detached work shed though. The night before, she made sure to plow the built-up snow so the vehicles wouldn’t get stuck.
Warren was silent as Brittany and Karla chatted about the fair and the night’s basketball game. It took a few minutes to notice Warren hadn’t said anything since they left the school. Brittany looked in the rearview mirror and saw Warren just looking at his phone, disinterested. It seemed pretty rude, even for the old Warren. If this was in class, he’d make some snide remark or comment about how stupid sports were, or Karla being the team’s warm up.
“Warren, are you ok? You’re being unusually silent,” Brittany asked, as she glanced in the rearview to see his reaction.
“I’m fine,” was his only response, not moving his eyes from his phone.
“Karla, Warren and I worked really hard on this new formula. We’re hoping it reduces some of the extreme hangover side effects the next day.” It was Brittany’s attempt to bring him into the conversation with science, but he didn’t bite.
Karla noticed the strange vibes coming from the two of them. She knew Brittany somehow seemed to like working with Warren all of a sudden, but this felt ... different. If she didn’t know any better, she’d swear there were some feelings going on, but that would be crazy. It was Warren after all.
Sure, Warren was smart, everyone knew that. The fact that he and Brittany made this wild sex drug together by accident, was out there. What was crazier was the way Brittany talked about Warren’s sexual prowess in bed. Her friend even talked her into a threesome with Warren today, which she is feeling uncomfortable with. She was giving up the chance to hook up with Darius again, or Miguel, maybe both. She’d heard about the way Maggie had talked about the three of them together and it did make her curious.
Brittany decided to try one last time to reach out to Warren, her voice held a little desperation to break through his funk. “Are you looking forward to having Karla and I today?”
Warren stopped and looked up at Brittany’s reflection in the mirror, the glasses on his face made his eyes look bigger. “What’s it matter? Stop acting like you care about me,” he snapped. His words sounded almost like a growl. It caught both girls off-guard.
“I thought ... we had so much fun this past week,” Brittany stammered as she drove, uncertain about his reversion in attitude to his old self.
“What’s your deal!” Karla was quick to defend her friend. “Don’t be such a baby about the fair. You lost, big deal. Get over it.”
“Karla!” Brittany tried to keep things under control. She didn’t know what was going on.
“Warren, I don’t know why you’re mad at me. Please talk to me.”
“You don’t know ... bullshit. Just like you didn’t know he beat the shit out of me!” Warren spat his words like acid. “You play nice with me and then you’re right back with that neanderthal who’s made my life miserable for years. He snaps his fingers and you go running right back to him.”
Warren was angry. It had been brewing inside him since he saw pictures on the social media of Brittany and Chuck together at the game. He did his best to focus on the Science Fair, but after it ended, all that frustration and betrayal built up into a volcanic eruption in Brittany’s car.
“Chuck? We aren’t together ... Where did you get that idea?” Brittany battled to pay attention to the conversation and the road at the same time.
“Guess you didn’t know about all the pictures on social media. I was actually curious about how Darius did and found you and Chuckie-boy together in the stands. Look, I get we aren’t dating or anything, you can do what you want, but don’t pretend to be my friend and lie to me.”
In the passenger seat, Karla sat silently listening to the two of them bicker. She had no idea things had gone that far between the two, assuming they’d only been working on their creation. It turned out they’d been doing much more than that. A couple of weeks ago, it would have been out of the realm of possibility that they’d even sit with each other, let alone have some kind of demented relationship.
“I’m not back with Chuck!” Brittany tried to argue. “I was actually trying to stop him from hurting you, like I said I would.”
“Yeah right, you don’t need to go to a game together to say, ‘hey, stop pounding Warren into a pulp’.”
“Look, I’m sorry. He asked and I thought it might help,” Brittany sighed. “He did ask me to take him back, but I said no.”
“You WHAT?” Karla looked at her friend in surprise, suddenly now also engaged in the conversation.
Brittany looked between her friend and lover, “While we sat there talking at the game, I realized he was right when he broke us up originally. We want different things, and we’ve grown apart. I think I kind of knew it a while ago but didn’t want to admit it to myself. I like school and science, and I care about my grades and my future more than sports and partying.”
“This whole Science Club and Heat thing has shown me how much more fun I could have without him. Where else could I spend hours pouring over chemical concoctions and trial formulas, and then get to enjoy the fruits of my labors? Plus, the added bonus of sharing that time with someone who equally enjoys the same thing. I’ve had more fun this past week than most of the last few years dating Chuck. It helps that I now know how terrible Chuck was in bed,” Brittany chuckled to herself.
Warren looked at Brittany again in the mirror, “Is that all true?”
“Every word.” Brittany looked back at him after she saw the driveway to Linda’s house, “Now are we going to keep arguing or are you going to have a threesome with me and Karla?”
Warren jokingly rolled his eyes, “Fine, you win. I’ll have sex with you and your friend, GOD!”
“Damned right, and you’d better enjoy it!”
The cars pulled around the back and parked on a gravel driveway. A row of snow-covered hedges blocked the view from the closest neighbor, but it was still over a hundred yards away. Linda lived just on the outskirts of a small community of less than 500 people. To call it a town would be a stretch. It had one crossroad with one gas station that served food, a convenience store, and several houses on either side of the street. Most of the communities in the area were like that of varying sizes up to 1,500 residents. The youth, as well as those from more rural areas, would bus into the primary and secondary schools near each other.
Linda’s house was a small bungalow with white siding and a black shingled roof. It wasn’t much to look at from the outside, but she owned a couple of acres of land that came with the house. The previous owners ran a small hobby farm until they retired and moved to Madison, to be closer to their adult children. She still had the work shed and small tractor with a plow on the front. She’d only been there a year, but it was becoming more of a home to her.
Linda welcomed them inside through the backdoor which entered into her kitchen. It was a small, country style kitchen with natural wood cabinets and a small dining nook. She encouraged the students to take their boots and coats off and led them into the living room. It was a decent size, with a stone fireplace, TV mounted on the wall, and couch and loveseat set. It was just the right size for the single teacher, although it did seem above her means.
“You have a very nice home, Linda,” Karla said as she looked at photos on the mantle.
“Thank you. I have chips and drinks, if anyone wants some...” Linda said, as she looked at Karla who chuckled to herself. A few hands went up and Linda brought out a bowl with snacks and some drinks for everyone.
