For me, it was always a lot of fun and I will always have such good times to remember. Let's just say that there's a lot more to do at church camp than craft projects and hiking!

It was the last day of camp and thus the last day at the waterfront. I was ready for something really reckless today but when we got there I was devastated to find out that Mark was already gone. One of the girls in an earlier session had fallen and hurt herself and as the head lifeguard he had to take her into town for medical care. Oh well, so much for Operation Lifeguard Tower!
That evening my parents came to take me back home. My dad grabbed my bags and helped me out to the parking lot. Mark must have just made it back as he was standing with the other counselors saying goodbye to everyone so I introduced my parents to him, telling them that Mark had taught me a lot this week.
Mark was a bit flushed but imagine how much he would have been had be known I would soon be sharing everything I’d done at camp with my mom - and I mean everything!
Well, so much for Church Camp as next year I would be sixteen, too old for the kid’s programs. Hmmmmmm, maybe someday I can be a counselor? I think I would be pretty good at teaching the girls a few things ... don’t you?
