Chapter 61: B
The clouds look down disappointed
Her apparel seems disjointed
But still she smiles on
As the weight of the world piles on
From the end of every disaster
She walks on just a bit faster
Smiling as I fall apart
On the stairs I bleed
Wishing I still had a heart
Than I could be what she needs
Instead I’m using her
Taking on the only burden they had to offer
But she still smiles, so sweet
Who knew a queen could be discreet
She had it worse than I
But she still manages to try
I’m not sure I can forgive my shadow
For the way he let her/us/me go
So much more full than I imagined
When first I saw her pinned
A life of tragedy
And still she smiles at me
As she offers her hand and heart as tempo
We dance to and fro
If only I could lie
She might be able to fly
I’m not sure I have it in me
Well meaning dishonesty
I don’t think I can lie any more
As her strength seeps from every pore
The clouds look down disappointed
I can tell they miss her
Her apparel seems disjointed
And so I kiss her
And she smiles on
Never soaring but never boring
I wish I could be what she needs
