Chapter 35: Thanksgiving Day
Bored and barren
and brown
Crunch under my heal
Parades attempt to steal
The soul of a day
Light comes at an angle
A chill sets into stray
Words are knots to untangle
Summer has past
Devoted revelry fails to last
Expiration comes at the expense of light
Lacking the passion I require
Kitten’s purr, but lack real fire
Barren and bored
Brown and orange stored
They crunch beneath my feet
An attack I would meet
smiles, no longer entice
Multicolour piles, and all I seek is vice
A perfect wonder in her way
A kitten, a simple stray
Bored and barren
and brown
Crunching beneath my boot
10 months of balance lay moot
devoted revelry
ends with barren trees
not cherub archery or fatal rivalry
simple dormancy
of devotion
Having never felt emotion
Impersonally dissuaded
From the months of revelry
As a world advocated me so jaded
And seeking more devilry
Bored and barren meet
As brown and orange crunch beneath my feet
A ponce of a parade
Attempts to steal the soul of a day
Bypassing every trap we that was laid
Only to loose in effigy of the long walk astray
As I sit by a trestle
Stroking my kitten
One last attempt to pull
My mind through the barren
And bored orange and brown
Crunch under the boot of a town
