Chapter 22: Frozen Over
A kaleidoscope of silver and gold
Mar the otherwise white
Ground at my feet
My every step is traceable
Another pattern I can’t undo
As I hike toward the familiar fold
Consuming cold making my throat tight
As I find my will to street
Moving through imputable
Banks of frozen dew
Springs out of one I know so well
My own taste of sweet hell
Cloaked in the womb of white
Her happiness radiates
Rising I sense the sentiment
Seeking effulgent
Beauty through icy gate
Enjoying the subtler spite
In her smile of shadows
Somehow matching thrice
Covered world I inhabit
Enjoying some fruitful plight
As ebon hair makes nice
With crystalline snows
Enjoying the temporary quite,
Temporary passage into deeper layers
A kaleidoscope of silver and gold
Mar the otherwise white
Lang stretching out from every point
As my demon seems to anoint
Herself with snow and spite
Smiling eyes so black and bold
As I pass beyond all the flares
Sent to show who I should be
But with cherry stained thoughts
And beauty I could see
Silver and gold spots
Dancing at her whim and wont
As do I
