Chapter 5

The itinerary for the cruise ship today was to visit Glacier Bay. The scenery continued to impress Jerry, as evidenced by the many pictures he was taking. He could see he was not the only passenger doing this.

During lunch, he looked at the schedule of the on-board activity. The instruction class on dancing in the large auditorium caught his attention.

Jerry sat in the back row of the empty balcony to watch the instructors and the dancers on the first-floor stage. The instructors were two dancers who appeared in the evening entertainment shows.

As he watched the people on the stage, he heard an accented female voice say, “You should be up there giving this instruction.”

He turned to see that standing behind him was the good-looking female ship officer who said that.

“It is nice of you to say that, but from what I can see, they are doing a credible job teaching the basics. If you have time, can I ask you a few questions?”

She said she did have time and took a seat next to him. He could not help but notice her legs as her skirt slid up on her thighs. In response to his introducing himself to her, she said her name was Kari Swenson, and she was one of the two doctors on board. They talked about how long she had been working on a cruise ship and how she liked doing it.

The highlights at the port where the cruise ship would dock tomorrow, she said, were fishing, whale watching, or looking at totem poles. She said she would be in the infirmary for the sick call in the morning, and for the rest of the day, she would be on-call. If there were no emergencies, it would be lunch and relaxing. Jerry said he would leave the ship briefly to check his email.

That evening, after dinner and watching the show in the main auditorium, Jerry went to the lounge that featured disco. He danced a few dances with Holly and told her he was calling it an early night. She said she was doing that too and walked with him to his cabin.

Once inside his cabin, there was kissing before she said, “I truly am going to call it an early night. While I would like to stay with you, I now have my monthly visitor.”

She dropped to her knees and pulled down his pants zipper. She fished out his cock and gave him head. After he had discharged into her mouth, she zippered him back up and said that was something for him to remember her by. Giving him a quick kiss, she smilingly told him to have a good night’s sleep in leaving his cabin.

With her now gone, Jerry thought about what she said. There was no reason for her to say that her giving him head was to remember her. He had a picture burned in his mind of her looking up at him while she was giving him oral sex. There were thoughts about her and the women on this cruise ship before he fell asleep. Being with these women and the lovemaking they did, Jerry likened it to the fictional get-laid stories you read on the net.

The cruise ship was docked in port that morning. After breakfast, Jerry left the cruise ship and found a Wi-Fi hot spot to check his email. There were two other cruise ships in port, and these three cruise ships discharged approximately six thousand passengers. That made it close to being a mob scene in port. It also temporarily tripled the population of this town.

Jerry was back on the ship and went to the Lido just after noon. He was sitting at a table by himself having lunch when Kari walked in with a few other ship officers. After filling her tray, she walked to where Jerry was sitting.

“I cannot sit with you as the Captain has asked that we not be seen socializing with passengers.

It took Jerry about two seconds to say, “This is not going to sound right, but if you were to be in my cabin, the Captain nor anyone else would see you socializing.”

It took Kari two seconds to ask, “What is your cabin number?”

He told her, and she left to sit with the other ship officers.

In preparation for Kari’s visit, Jerry left his cabin door partially ajar. Kari quickly walked in and said she did not see anyone in the corridor. She took a seat and accepted his offer of a diet soda.

They had a two-hour-long conversation. Kari asked Jerry what he did for a living. He explained his shoe-selling efforts and the shoe design. The low-rise and the high-rise shoe types interested her. He said the shoes could be purchased online, but he was unaware of how they could be delivered to her. She told him that the mail for the crew and staff is all sent to a West Coast office and delivered when they are back in the States at the end of a cruise.

Kari mentioned her schooling and emergency room experience and why she decided to work on a cruise ship. How long she would be on a particular cruise ship was unknown. She was rotating among the various cruise ships this cruise line owned and seeing their ports of call. Doing this was her way of seeing the world. Eventually, she said she would stop working on a cruise ship and return to her hometown to join her father’s medical practice.

Kari looked at her watch and said she needed to leave. She also said she noticed Jerry was a good dancer and would like to dance with him. He told her because of the Captain’s rule, it was unlikely that would happen. She asked him to be at the slot machines in the casino at ten this evening. Why she asked him to be at the casino she did not say, but he said he would be there.

Jerry was standing in line waiting to be seated in the main dining room for this any-time dining. There were two older ladies in front of him in this line, with no one behind him. One of the ladies turned and noticed that Jerry was alone. She invited him to join them for dinner. He accepted their invitation.

When they were all seated at a table, the ladies introduced themselves as Ava and Ella. They were sisters and were from Scotland. They said their husbands did not care to travel, so they traveled together. On this junket, they had visited the Grand Canyon before this cruise. On the way home after the cruise ended, they would visit Yellowstone and New York City. When they are not traveling, Ava said she works as a book editor, and Ella said she helps out at the nursery she owns with her husband.
