Humans are Demon Slayers
Things were not going good on planet Shoosth IV. Things could be described as ‘Going to Hell’ and quickly.
A few weeks ago, vast portals started to appear in scattered locations around the world and demons started to appear from them. The locals were trying to combat this demonic invasion but with very little success.
The demons and their beasts that were coming through were very tough and took a lot of damage before dying and while the military forces were firing at them, the demons were spreading further and further into the local areas around the portals.
Governor Trevot was in despair over the invasion and all the loss of life of the people under her protection. She had sent out a request for any help to anyone who was listening on GalNet but she didn’t expect to hear anything for a while, if at all. Demon invasions were bad news and most of the time the planets were lost no matter how much the defenders fight.
Suddenly a communications techs signaled that there was a message coming in and at almost the same time, the spaceport monitor signaled that they required the governors’ attention.
Trevot called the com-tech to come over while she spoke with the monitor. The monitor showed that there was a bunch of ships on route to the planet and the com-tech handed over a transcription of the message sent to them.
‘Attention planet Shoosth IV and governor Trevot, we have received your request for aid against a demon invasion. Initial forces are on their way to help out and report on the current situation. More substantial forces will be sent with specialised equipment and weapons as soon as we have the reports. Take care and keep fighting, help is on it’s way’
