Chapter 6: Planning
I walked into the kitchen. I could smell the coffee. Mary must be up early. As I turned the corner into the kitchen Pete, Mike, Paul, and Martin were at the table with steaming mugs of coffee in their hands. I got my coffee and sat down with them. I could hear Mary and Melinda talking while they prepared breakfast.
“Later today we need to have a meeting. How about 10 tonight adults only. Paul I’ll leave it up to you on weather you want to include Martin. We should include the women.”
I went to my office to see if I could access satellite imagery. I wasn’t great with computers, but it would help us greatly if the excrement hit the high speed rotary device. There was a knock on the door.
“Come on in.”
The door opened and Martin walked in.
“Thanks for telling my dad you would consider me an adult. I’ll do anything I can to help.”
I smiled and laughingly said.
“Find me a really good hacker.”
He grinned, waved his hand and pointed at himself.
“I am the best I ever met. What do you need?”
“Can you hack into the observation satellites the government has? I need to access the imagery for early warning, and reconnaissance.”
He smiled.
“That’s easy”
He sat at the computer, and started to type. He concentrated on it for about 10 minutes and a screen came up. On it were several images. He pointed to the screen.
“These are all images from the satellites covering the Eastern coast of North America. Click on the image and it will become full screen. Press escape it will go back to a thumb nail. They are labeled by general area. For our area click on this one. I did and immediately saw many black-shirts scouting the ares around Walt’s cabin. Hunting for whoever had killed their co-conspirators. For that’s all they were seditious conspirators who had plotted to overthrow our democratic government. It was 1861 all over again. I would do my best to defend my country. My cell phone rang. It was my dad and mom they were on their way. I gave them a rendezvous point that I would meet them at. They told me my brother and sister and their families were coming with them.
