Chapter 52
Sea-World
Mon, Nov 9, 1970
”Ocean man, take me by the hand, lead me to the land that you understand
Ocean man, the voyage to the corner of the globe is a real trip
Ocean man, the crust of a tan man imbibed by the sand
Soaking up the thirst of the land
Ocean man, can you see through the wonder of amazement at the oberman
Ocean man, the crust is elusive when it casts forth to the childlike man
Ocean man, the sequence of a life form braised in the sand
Soaking up the thirst of the land
Ocean man, ocean man
Ocean man
Ocean man, take me by the hand, lead me to the land that you understand
Ocean man, the voyage to the corner of the globe is a real trip
Ocean man, the crust of a tan man imbibed by the sand
Soaking up the thirst of the land
Ocean man, can you see through the wonder of amazement at the oberman
Ocean man, the crust is elusive when it casts forth to the childlike man
Ocean man, the sequence of a life form braised in the sand
Soaking up the thirst of the land

Ocean Man

Wow, that was a China Blast, because Mao & L.C. gave us & all of Shanghai a fantastic Fireworks Show, along The Bund, ringing both sides of the Huangpu River. The Fireworks were set off from a series of Barges anchored in the Middle of the River.
It went on for over an hour.
Mao had gone on China TV earlier Sunday, telling his Nation about the wonderful new Partner all of China now had. He went into detail how U-Corp-China was going to bring Peace & Abundance to every Chinese Citizen.
He encouraged all Shanghai to come to see the Fireworks that night, on The Bund.
Afterwards, we hugged & kissed, Boarding Buses to the Airport. It was about 6-Hours from Shanghai to NYC, so most of us, pulled Down, the Drop-Down Bunks, which had great Mattresses. There was a fold-up side barrier, so you didn’t roll out of bed, dropping 4 feet to the Aisle below.
The Bunks Dropped Down, resting atop the Seat Back, very stable.
When we woke up this morning, it was refreshing to Ride the Park again, knowing we’ll be in town for at least a week.
It Rained on us, but all of us had good Vinyl Coated Jackets, that you could add layers, as it got colder. We were Bike Warriors though, as we’ll Ride in the Snow too. Ryder, with his multiple layers of Coats of Hair, loved it. I’ve seen him Sleeping atop a Snow Drift.
Pug Red, was also a tough little guy, nothing bothered him, he just took it as a challenge, or game.
We were Partnering again with NYC, as we were going to Take Over as much of the Blocks around the South Street Seaport, as we could. As Ralf, I know that would finally happen, but years later. I wanted to do it now, but better though, as before, they were always scrounging for Cash. We’d never have that problem. The KalaKala would be our masterpiece, but I was hopeful of bringing the Queen Mary 2, from Long Beach, to NYC!
We’d use it as another Westin Hotel, just a Floating one. We’d have 2 Floating Hotels at SSSP, the Queen Mary 2, & the KalaKala.
Just South of SSSP, along the East River, were a few Tall Buildings, & we were going to HQ our new Maritime Holding Company there. That’s where our Central Marine Dispatchers would be. We would have a crew of MGF’s, keeping everything organized, as it would be easy to loose track. We wanted to use our resources correctly, not duplicating Ops that could easily be combined.
120 Wall Street, NYC, was Built in 1929, & immediately went into Bankruptcy, due to the Stock Market Crash of 1929. It would finally Open in 1930. It was 35-Floors Tall, with 618,801 Sq Ft. Each full Floor, had 22,747 Sq Ft, so we’d have plenty of room to expand. Currently, in 1970, it was about 2/3 Full, so we had a nice Monthly Income from those Leases. Harry Helmsley had just bought it for us, knowing I wanted a HQ on the Water, & the East River, at Wall Street was perfect to me.
As we expanded, we would encourage our Tenants to move to another of our Buildings. Harry Helmsley owned them all too, starting with the Empire State Building.
We were naming our new mega Shipping Company,
Sea-World
There already was a Sea World, in San Diego, opened in 1964, & a new one in Aurora, Ohio, opened in May, 1970. Sea World had just gone Public, having an IPO in 1968.
We asked them to let us use the Name too, but they absolutely refused, saying they’d Sue to stop us from using the Name too.
That had pissed us off, so we just bought enough Stock to Takeover the fukers. We immediately fired all the Top Execs, as they were assholes.
We now could use the Name, Sea-World, plus we now Owned 2 Sea Parks too.
As Ralf, I knew the f/u conditions the Orca Killer Whales & Porpoises were subjected to at Sea Parks, including Sea World. We would compromise, always thinking of the Whales & Porpoises 1st.
We would put the Sea Parks under the Control of Anheuser-Busch, as they knew how to put on a show. We’d have the Clydesdales there too. They already had a Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL; & one in Williamsburg, VA. A 3rd was in Van Nuys-LA, CA (1964-1979). Between all the Theme Parks, we’d made a lot of kids happy, always a good thing.

Chicago, King Crimson & Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Day 1 of 6, RCMH, NYC, 8pm.
“There once was a ship that put to sea
The name of the ship
was the Billy of Tea
The winds blew up, her bow dipped down
Oh blow, my bully boys, blow (huh)
Soon may the Wellerman come
To bring us sugar and tea and rum
One day, when the tonguing is done
We’ll take our leave and go
She’d not been two weeks from shore
When down on her a right whale bore
The captain called all hands and swore
He’d take that whale in tow (huh)
Soon may the Wellerman come
To bring us sugar and tea and rum
One day, when the tonguing is done
We’ll take our leave and go
Da-da-da-da-da
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da”

Today we were welcoming another huge Partner.
Arnold Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller, 57yo, 3rd Generation CEO of A.P. Møller-Mærsk, was known as Mr Mærsk, but I’d just call him Mærsk.
A.P. Møller-Mærsk, was formed in 1904, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Like APL & Evergreen, Mærsk also was actively s/o to a Container Fleet, using its own Shipyards to Build new & bigger Container Ships. They were also making thousands of Containers, to be used on their Ships.
Mærsk had a Fleet of Ships, Container Terminal Ports, Shipyards, Trucking & Logistics Companies, etc.
By 2020, Mærsk had a total of 740 Ships, called on 343 Ports, in 121 Countries. Every 6 Minutes, a Mærsk Ship is entering a Port, to Offload its Cargo of Containers.
Mr Mærsk toured our new Sea World HQ Building, which is at the base of Wall Street, at the East River.
Mærsk was enthusiastic about our new Flatiron Parks Conservancy’s Fund’s newest Project, saving the History & Buildings around South Street Seaport, just North of 120 Wall Street, on the East River. SSSP went from Maiden St, just North of Wall St, & ended at the base of the Brooklyn Bridge.
As Ralf, I knew there would be some old Ships Docked there. They were ok, but none great. The KalaKala & the Queen Mary 2, would be better Ships to Display at SSSP, really catching your eye & emotions.
How about an exact Replica of the Mutiny On The Bounty, or the Replica of Captain James Cook’s, HMS Endeavour.
We would Partner with any Building Owner that wanted to Hop Onboard, as in 1970, SSSP was Rundown & Dangerous at night. No-one realized the immense Historical Importance it was to NYC, but I sure did.
I wanted to steer SSSP’s Renovation, with much less stops & starts, lacking Funds. Not with us, as we had deep pockets.

”Somewhere beyond the sea
Somewhere waitin’ for me
My lover stands on golden sands and watches the ships
That go sailin’
Somewhere beyond the sea
She’s there watchin’ for me
If I could fly like birds on high then straight to her arms
I’d go sailin’
It’s far beyond a star
It’s near beyond the moon
I know beyond a doubt
My heart will lead me there soon
We’ll meet beyond the shore
We’ll kiss just as before
Happy we’ll be beyond the sea and never again
I’ll go sailin’
I know beyond a doubt (Ah)
My heart will lead me there soon
We’ll meet I know we’ll meet beyond the shore
We’ll kiss just as before
Happy we’ll be beyond the sea and never again
I’ll go sailin’
No more sailin’
So long sailin’
Bye bye sailin’”
Beyond the Sea
By Charles Trenet & Jack Lawrence
Another future Partner looked us up, as he was friends with Tom Crowley.
Malcom Purcell McLean, 57yo, had begun Sea-Land Marine, in 1956. He was one of the early promoters of using Containers, for most Shipping. He launched the 1st Container Ship, in 1956, the Ideal-X. He converted an old WW2 Oil Tanker Ship.
He told us that he’d f/u, by Selling Sea-Land to RJ Reynolds last year. He Owned a bunch of RJ Reynolds Stock, as he had taken that, as opposed to Cash, in 1969.
He desperately wanted his Company back, & was begging U-Corp to help him do that.
Wow, I fukin hated RJ Reynolds for what they were still doing to People’s Lives & Health. We all now know how f/u they’ve been over the years, finally admitting to it in Front of Congress, Falling On Their Swords, big time.
I got with Warren Buffett & D-Rock, as we now had unlimited Resources. Warren assured us that it was a no-brainer, as most Large Blocks of RJ Reynolds Stock, was held by Insurance Companies. Warren said they’d Sell Out, if we overpaid a tad, but we’d make out, as we were going to Gut The Fukin Company, breaking it up ASAP.
1st, we’d get out of Tobacco 100%, ASAP, Selling that part of RJR, to other f/u Tobacco Companies. We’d make a bunch, as Tobacco was still going strong in 1970.
2nd, we’d s/o to Pot & Edibles. Starting Jan 1, 1971, Pot was going to be 100% LEGAL, & we were getting ready. We had locations already set up, for our 1st Pot Shop Stores.
We had gotten approval to start Growing Our Own, in controlled conditions, but we had Acres Growing in Cuba. We were actively making all kinds of Edibles. We made sure to Max Out the Potency, avoiding loosing some in the process of making Edibles. If done right, all the THC, CBC & CBN are released, to be absorbed by the mind.
In 1970, they hadn’t discovered the other Cannabinoids, besides THC, but as I’ve said, if processed correctly, THC, CBD & CBN were included. CBD & CBN help with Mood, Pain, nagging wives & husbands, etc.
3rd, we’d take our Profits, from Selling the Tobacco Business, & Buy Kraft Foods! RJR had Owned Hawaiian Punch, since 1962, so we’s s/o that to Kraft.
4th, what was left of RJR, would be 100% devoted to Cancer Research. We’d use it in conjunction with Kaiser-Permanente, & our Rice Sports Medicine Research Institute.
Sea-Land was like our other Shipping Companies, Crowley-APL, Evergreen & Maersk. They had Ships, Ports, plus thousands of Containers, spread around the World.
It was a logical nightmare, keeping all these Operations going, as how easy would it be to loose a few Containers, once in a while.
We were going to have to Track where all our Equipment was, as we would have Containers, Ships, Tugs, Barges, Trucks, Trailers & Rail Cars. All would be Owned by our Partners, mostly Crowley-APL, Evergreen & Mærsk.
Paccar’s 2 Rail Car Factories, were now Operating 24/7, as we knew we needed Container Rail Cars by the 100’s, if not 1,000’s.
Mao was ramping up the Kaiser Hudong Shipyard, to be at full production. He was having the 2 other Shipyards on Changxing Island, make Rail Container Cars, Container Trailers & Containers. The Shipyards had been dormant, as China was still f/u from the way it was before our Historic Friendship Accord, back in Jan, 1970. U-Corp was helping China open back up to the World, especially regarding Financial & Political. L.C. was a great friend to Mao, as well as Ali & I. We’d grown to love & trust each other 100%. L.C. was keeping Mao Happy & Focused.
