Chapter 29
Game-2
“Blame the whiskey on the beer
Blame the beer on the whiskey
Blame the mornin’ on the night
For whose lyin’ here with me
Blame the bar for the band
Blame the band for the song
Blame the song for the party that went all night long
But it ain’t my fault
No it ain’t my fault
Mighta had a little fun
Lotta wrong I’d done
But it ain’t my fault
Blame the heart for the hurtin’
Blame the hurtin’ on the heart
Blame the dark on the devil
Blame the devil on the dark
Blame the ex for the drinkin’
Blame the drinkin’ for the ex
Blame the two for one tequila’s for whatever happens next
But it ain’t my fault
No it ain’t my fault
Mighta had a little fun
Lotta wrong I’d done
But it ain’t my fault
I got my hands up
I need an alibi
Find me a witness who can testify
You made a mistake
You got the wrong guy
I’m only guilty of a damn good time
No it ain’t my fault
Blame my reason on my name
Blame my name on my reason
Blame my lack of knowing better on public education
Blame smoke on the fire
Blame fire on the smoke
Blame the fight on the bouncer that couldn’t take a joke
But it ain’t my fault
I got my hands up
I need an alibi
Find me a witness who can testify
You made a mistake
You got the wrong guy
I’m only guilty of a damn good time
No it ain’t my fault
No it ain’t my fault
No it ain’t my fault”
It Ain’t My Fault

Well, it was bound to happen eventually. Blue was hit by a Taxi-Cab in Central Park this morning. He died on the way to the Pet Hospital, poor guy. He ran right in front of the Cab, so I can’t blame the Cab. I blame myself.
Regular Season, Game 2, Home vs BOS. We Won 4-3.
I wasn’t at the Game though, as Harry Helmsley & I were in Houston, TX.
We were on a Mission From God.
I had asked Harry to set it up, as we were trying to reunite the NY Yankee Team with Yankee Stadium & the 8 Acres under it.
In 1955, the Stadium & Land were Sold to John W Cox. He was a 1927 Graduate of Rice University in Houston.
Cox Donated Yankee Stadium & Land to Rice University, Jul 19, 1962.
As Ralf, I knew that Rice was forced to sell the Stadium & Land, via Eminent Domain, to NYC, in 1971. The Price? A whopping 2.5 Mil!
We had a Plan to be a Win-Win for both Rice & the Yankees.
We didn’t think Rice Univ really wanted to Own Yankee Stadium, they just wanted to use the Revenue from it. We were going to Offer 2.5 Mil, but to sweeten the Deal, we were Donating 2.5 Mil to their Sports Department. Rice would retain 10% Ownership of the Stadium, ensuring future Profits to fund their Sports Department.
We met with all the Department Chairs, & they were so excited with our Proposals, they couldn’t Sign the Papers fast enough. It would have to be Ratified by the University Board of Governors.
Since they were a Private Research University, we also wanted to Partner with them, on setting up the Rice Sports Medicine Research Institute. We would fully fund it, using it to Rehab our Players.
I wanted to bring every new Technique to our RSMRI. These are just a few things we would work on:
We would be the 1st to do extensive Research into Traumatic Brain Injury, & Concussions. I recently Fainted & ended up in the ER. I hit hard on the back of my Head, causing a Concussion. I was Loopy as Hell for 2 Days. Then I was OK. I would tell Billy Martin my concerns, & we would pull out any Player who suffered any Head Contact. We would keep them out 3-Days.
We would also work with the NFL to improve Helmets, Pads, etc.
I had recently watched a Podcast on Neuroplasticity, that is a new Science, that is Combining Psychology & Physical Therapy. It is doing wonders with Stroke Patients, well past the year that most were given before, to have any more improvement. I would reach out to the Lady who was Pioneering the Research.
They don’t know why, but Boxing Training is helping Parkinson’s Patients. My Mom died due to Parkinson’s.
The Movement of the Feet, Arms, Hands, Head, at the same time, juking & jabbing, is slowing down the degradation of their Synapses.
They also say, that doing some physical activity, about 1 Hour before a Test, will have you Super Focused. I would use that in my life.
Jay Leno had his Ear, REMADE in ONE WEEK! I saw the Video he did, 1 Week after it was reformed by his own Skin, I think. It was Burnt Off at his Garage.
Jay used a Hyperbolic Chamber to Heal Fast. It had been in Rare Use, since 1961. Why not Feature use Hyperbolic Chamber, at our Institute.
We would Specialize in Burn Therapy, Partnering with 3 other Burn Centers:
1. Johns Hopkins-Bayview Adult Burn Center, Baltimore, MD
2. Grossman Burn Center, LA, CA; Bakersfield, CA & Kansas City, MO
3. Joseph M Still Burn Center, Agusta, GA
We would make sure all 4 of the Burn Centers share all new Info & Technology.
I know they have Medical Super-Glue, that will bond with our own Skin. Amazing stuff. Super-Glue was 1st Invented as a Medical Miracle. In Nam, they Poured it on Open Wounds, letting the Blood Clot long enough, to get Back to the MASH Unit.
They THEN used Super-Glue in the Hobby Trade, as Super-Glue Bonded Plastic easily.
Years later, they Rediscovered Super-Glue for Medical Purposes again, as it heals Cuts fast. Super-Glue went Full Circle.
I’ve never understood the Outlawing of Human Growth Hormone Therapy. HGH helps Healing, so what’s the Harm? The Harm came from Athletes Abusing HGH, w/o Doctors Care.
If it was OK under Doctors Care, why not? Maybe I’m missing something, but it’s not the same as Steroids. We would find a way to compromise.
We spent the day, looking for the best place to put our 1st new Building.
We decided on the large Parking Lot, between Rice’s Baseball & Football Stadiums. We would have Parking on the 1st 2 Floors, then the Research Center above.
Harry & I Flew home at 5pm, in plenty of time to arrive at TEB, then get to Radio City Music Hall. We couldn’t believe how great it went in Houston. Harry was even excited about the Research Institute.
The Traveling Whart-Hoggs & Ravi Shankar, Day 3 of 6 @ RCMH, 8pm.
Tonight, Ravi was included in the Traveling Whart-Hoggs, as they merged the 2 Styles throughout all the Songs. Some worked better than others, but they had some awesome Cuts come from Thursday’s Show.

It was sad w/o Blue, but we Rode on. B-G quickly put up Sides on the Trailer, so Red could go with us, but not Run Loose anymore.
“She said she’s gonna quit me,
If I didn’t quit the booze.
So I just started drinkin’ more,
To see if she would really choose.
And I have to hand it to that girl:
She meant every breath.
An’ I’m glad she did, ‘cause I was about,
To drink myself to death.
Because my drinkin’ problem left today.
She packed up all her things and walked away.
Well, it looks like off the bottle now is where I’m gonna stay,
Because my drinkin’ problem left today.
Well, she said I had problems:
Boy, was she ever right,
To keep from goin’ home to her,
I’d stay out, drunk, all night.
And I believe that woman left me,
In the nick of time.
If she’d a-stayed much longer,
I’d have drinked up my last dime.
Because my drinkin’ problem left today.
She packed up all her things and walked away.
And it looks like off the bottle now is where I’m gonna stay,
Because my drinkin’ problem left today.
Yeah, it looks like off the bottle now is where I’m gonna stay,
Because my drinkin’ problem left today.”
