Chapter 3
I have decided to name my Campground the Red Oak RV Campground as there are red oaks grown on my property.
While I was waiting for him to come back, I found a cabin on the property I could use for the front office.
As I stood in front of the small cabin, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction. The boom gate would be a game-changer for my campground, and now I needed to move one of the smaller cabins to act as the office for the people who entered my campground.
I had always dreamed of turning the old campground into a thriving business, and with the boom gate, I finally had the chance to do just that. The gate would not only add an extra layer of security for my guests.
But now, I needed to move one of the smaller cabins to act as the office for the people who entered my campground. I had always been proud of my campground’s rustic charm, but I knew that a proper office would make a big difference in the overall experience for my guests.
I had found a cabin at the back of my campground that would be perfect to use as the front office. I had also found a used but in good condition trailer I could use to move the cabin to the front of my campground.
I spent the next few days moving the cabin, carefully disassembling it and transporting it to the main entrance of the campground. It was a lot of work, but the result was well worth it. The cabin, now transformed into a cozy office, was the perfect place for guests to check in and get information about the campground.
As I stood inside the office, surrounded by the familiar scent of wood and the sound of birds chirping outside, I knew that I had made the right decision. The boom gate and the new office were just the beginning of my plans to improve the campground and make it the best it could be. And as I looked out the window, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement for the future of my little piece of paradise.
2 days later the workman returned to test the concrete and then he drilled the holes for the boom gate base to be installed once that was complete, he then installed the boom gate arm, and I was in business he then went into the office and installed the open and close switch on the wall near the door.
The workman then gave me a bill for the gate and switch, and I pulled out my wallet and handed him the $1500.
Now all I needed was a desk, chair and a phone line installed in the cabin/office, so I jumped online and brought a nice desk and a comfortable chair for whoever I hired for the admin job.
I went online and booked a phone technician to come and install a phone line and a phone with call waiting.
I had called the dept of fishing and game to bring fish and crabs to my lake that I had fixed up and made larger from the manmade 2 acre (about the area of a Manhattan city block) lake to a much larger 6 acre (about the area of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool) lake I also had a guy come in and build a pier to be fished from I also had places made that you could fish from on the sides of the lake.
Once I started making some money, I would add more things for people and children to do.
Some last things I would need are a sign with the prices of paid sites per day/week/month and a brochure and website for my new business. I have also decided to sell plots of land to people who want to live in my RV campground.
