Chapter 4: Life after Cindy
Cindy did get tested and sent the results to my attorney. I let her visit the boys over the holidays. She even took them to lunch on their birthdays. I let her explain why she was not living with us anymore. I checked her version with them and was surprised that it was pretty much the truth, minus the sex of course.
By the end of January our divorce was final. I had custody of the kids and she had visitation rights. There would be no alimony until she repaid the $25,000 she had taken from the boys’ college fund. She was depositing $250 a month so I figured I would never have to pay alimony.
I know I screwed her in the divorce but I felt she deserved it. She was the one who threw our marriage away. I had offered to forgive her that first time but I had also warned her what would happen if she continued.
I never tried to separate the boys from their mother. I always gave them money to buy her Christmas presents and birthday presents. They visited her often even spending the night with her every now and then.
Cindy was living in a nice apartment so I imagined she had a job. I had no idea where she was working and to be honest I could care less. I was still living in the house with the pool and worrying with the raccoons getting in the garbage.
It was 1am on Sunday and the home phone was ringing. Suzy reached across to answer it and her long blonde hair fell on my face. She make sure one of her pink nipples at the end of her perfect 34-c firm breasts rubbed my lips until I sucked it into my mouth.
“Hello.”
Now before we get into that phone conversation I should explain about Suzy.
After Cindy left I did need somebody to ‘talk’ to. She was a good listener and she gave me a lot of advice. She never let me get depressed or feel like I was the reason Cindy left. After the Sturgis story she said, “Been there, done that, got the tattoo!”
I asked if she had really been to the bike rally at Sturgis and she laughed, “Not Sturgis but Daytona. About the same I would imagine.”
“Tattoos?”
“Only one. A little butterfly, I’ll show it to you one day.”
(It’s on her right ass cheek and I think it is cute as hell.)
Two weeks before my divorce was final Suzy gave her two weeks’ notice at the company. That next weekend we celebrated and I mean celebrated! It was our first time together! On Monday I told the babysitter this would be her last week. Suzy gave up her apartment and moved in. The boys love her! We plan to marry next month.
Back to the phone call.
She listened for a minute then put her hand over the mouth piece.
“It’s Cindy! She’s been arrested for prostitution and needs you to come bail her out.” That answered the question about where she was working!
I took the phone.
“Joe I got busted in a police sting operation while doing research for a story. The guy was a cop! Now here is what I need you to do. First come down and bail me out. Then get me an attorney. Since it is my first offense and I’ll explain how I was just doing research for a book, I’ll probably get community service instead of having to do 6 months in county lockup.”
“Cindy just think of all the ‘life experiences’ you’ll get in jail. You’ll have a shit load of stories to write when you get out. Oh! One more thing before I hang up. Readers like a good BTB (Burn The Bitch) story. You should think about writing our story! Goodbye!”
I hung up and turned back to Suzy.
“That was mean.”
“Don’t worry I’ll go down in the morning and bail her out. One night in lock-up is not going to kill her. But she can get her own attorney!”
Between kisses she asked, “Did I tell you that a pool service called today? They wanted to know if we were going to use them this year.”
“What did you tell them?”
“I said I was going to clean my own damn pool!”
