Chapter 47: Clarissa

Six months after the bedrooms were changed, the whole family was enjoying an outside dinner with grilled burgers, roasted corn, and fruit salad. They had two picnic tables set out on the concrete patio between the house and the pool.

“This would be perfect if Clarissa was here,” Jared said.

“Oh, really? She would be fine with the nudism and the incest?” asked Carolina.

“Oh, please. She has two older brothers who live together in a one-bedroom apartment. No girl- or boyfriends, and they have a joint checking account.”

“Oh, I see, I guess. And the nudism?”

“Provided the under-13s are still being excluded from that, she’s fine with the nudity. I warned her not to tease Abel about his micropenis.”

“Oh, fuck no! Not you, too,” griped Abel.

“This is what happens when you go fishing for compliments,” retorted Val.

“So, you should bring her over, Jared.” Ted was interested, irritating Nan.

“Ted, don’t be so eager,” said Leah. “Nan wanted me to tell you about the wart on Clarissa’s nose, the misshapen hump on her back, her knock-knees, and her powerful body odor.”

“Either Clarissa is extremely rich or Nan is extremely jealous. I’m going with ‘B,’ so let’s see her.”

“Ted, if you enjoy sleeping indoors, you should remember how lucky you are with Nan. Don’t make a big deal over Clarissa, and you won’t be having a frost-filled night.”

“Damn right,” muttered Nan, giving Ted a look that would blister paint.

Jared left for his girlfriend’s house.

Peter caught Drew’s eye.

“I am happy to be wrong. Except for the last two minutes, over the past six months, all of us have remained the same happy couples. I guess your parents set a good example for you while they were alive.”

“They did, I think. I remember a few arguments, but nothing serious. Nothing lasting over a day. You and Carolina seem to be doing well.”

“Oh yeah, she’s great.”

“I’m grateful to Sandra for taking Lorelei from him. He’s been so good for me; I feel ten years younger.”

“Have you met Clarissa?”

“Briefly. Between us, Nan might have a reason to be jealous. Clarissa could be a model; she is breathtaking. Tall and thin, gorgeous face, brown eyes, black curly hair, full lips. It will be hard for Ted to pull his eyes away from her and remember Nan.”

A little while later, something extraordinary happened. Jared brought Clarissa to the backyard, and when he introduced her to Ted, he simply glanced up at her, said “Hello,” and resumed his conversation with Nan.

Fernanda watched this brief exchange with astonishment. Her instant review of Clarissa matched Carolina’s, she was beautiful. And Ted had, almost, ignored her in favor of Nan!

Urgently, she took his elbow and almost dragged him inside to their bedroom. Half an hour later, they were sprawled across the bed, sweaty and panting.

“They must be swimming by now, all of them naked. Would you like to join them?”

“Nah. You are naked, and I prefer your body above all others.”

“Even Clar...”

“You mean Jared’s girlfriend? Same answer.”

“Oh, if I didn’t have this thing in my arm, I’d be having your babies!”

“Don’t be silly. We’re too young. But we can always practice.”

Meanwhile, back at the pool, Clarissa was getting to know everyone. Val had taken Abel aside.

“I’m not like Nan, Abel; I’m just fine with you looking at Clarissa. I know she’s very beautiful, and it’s going to show. But your hard-on is going into MY pussy, not hers. So, look all you want.”

Leah and Andrew had a similar conversation. Peter, being older, was able to speak with Clarissa and stay limp, mostly. Andrew decided his only hope was to resolutely keep his line of sight from her neck up, which kept him controlled, but it was a near thing.

All in all, the evening was a complete success. Clarissa charmed everyone with her warm personality. Jared enjoyed hearing his girlfriend fit in with his crazy new family. When they left together, it was after promising to “come back soon.”
