Chapter 250: Karisha Washington, 28, the Setup...

In her first full week in Sausalito, Karisha Washington purchased (well, Chase Windsor did) the former LeBlanc Hardware store — located just three doors down from Miss Kitty’s.

Under Kate’s influence with local craftsmen, the store was transformed in under a month to Mothership Productions — a newly-registered LLC, based in Wilmington, Delaware.

In the construction process, Karisha was fascinated that Kate — a strip club owner — had more influence than even the mayor on the availability of the general contractor, the plumbers, and electricians. In City Hall, permits didn’t need an hour to sail through.

The second floor was converted into a small apartment for Karisha. She could have stayed in Marie Guidry’s home in the Cajun Bayous, but she wanted to be based downtown. Convenient for her, convenient for the Sausalito mothers she would be interviewing. And, eventually filming.

Eulalie had introduced her to Darlene Pellerin. “Karisha, Darlene will be your guide to the town and the bayous. She’ll be your eyes and ears until you are up and running. Karisha, explain what you’ll be doing.”

“Sure. Eulalie gave me a list of the Son-Fuckers here in town. Of course I want to meet with them. And also a few down in the bayous. I’ll feature some of them in the film.”

Darlene, “Acourse — I know ‘em all. Wanna meet their boys as well?”

“Eventually, but the story is about motherhood. The boys are ... they’re like good vibrators. We want them in the scene, but it’s their mom’s story that will resonate. How in the world did you come to fuck your own son? And the same in the bayous. I’m not sure I’m even going to distinguish between Sausalito and bayou moms. It might complicate the story too much.”

“Okay.”

“But the true narrative isn’t that she’s fucking her boy — it’s how did she arrive there? It’s her journey that’s going to tell the story.”

Eulalie smiled at Darlene, “And that’s where your challenge begins.”

“I’m not sure I understand?”

“Karisha.”

“Darlene, I want at least one, preferably two, ‘virgin’ moms. They don’t work for Kate. They don’t fool around on their husbands. They’ve never posed nude, let alone been in a fuck-film.”

“Wow.”

Eulalie, still smiling, “You’re not saying it can’t be done.”

Darlene thought about her answer, “No ma’am, I’m not. But we’ve already approached every remotely possible mom. We nailed a few — you know which ones are Son-Fuckers. And I have a handful more who I maybe could convince...” Darlene looked off into the distance, “Yeah, ‘challenge’ is the right word. I won’t have any real leverage on the ‘virgin’ mothers. They aren’t hurting for money.”

Eulalie waited patiently. Karisha noted how comfortable the little girl was with silence.

Darlene was lost in thought for a few more moments. “A public appeal won’t work with them. They’re not going to send in a topless photo, let alone cum-on-the-tongue.”

Eulalie waited patiently.

“So it’ll have to be a private approach — me or maybe Carole Lambert. Or maybe even Kate.”

Eulalie, “But what we have working for us — in the background — is a massive awareness campaign. Everyone will know about the Sausalito movie. The radio station, the Chronicle, but mostly word of mouth. It’s the biggest story ever to hit here.”

Karisha, “I’ve seen it in my music videos — girls go crazy. If there’s a chance to be even in a background scene — they’ll do anything.”

Eulalie, “In other words, you have an edge, Darlene — better even than money. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be in a major, international film.”
