Chapter 6: Evelyn EU211048

Evelyn has spent most of her life living on Europa, the largest settlement in the Tenth sector, and the home of the sector’s government. With modern defence systems, no barbarian raider would be foolish enough to attack Europa. However, widespread corruption and unchecked organised crime provide the barbarian raiders with ample opportunity to profit from Europa without firing a shot. Three of the enslaved women on Dog Star Six originate from Europa, having been betrayed, kidnapped and sold to the barbarians by their own fellow Europans.

Evelyn, Daria and Irena are different from each other in many ways. It’s their common origin from Europa, and consequent adjacent bed allocation on Dog Star Six, that draws them together. They only knew each other by sight prior to boarding this ship. Evelyn supposes the fact they are Malik’s slaves is another link between them, but that could be said of every woman on this ship. In Evelyn’s case, she was kidnapped by hired thugs and smuggled to the illegal slave markets of Thirteenth sector. Her crime was to stand as a candidate in an election against a corrupt incumbent. She was arrested on some fictitious charges and disqualified from the election. Had she let the matter drop, then she might still be on Europa. But her supporters urged her onwards until she was served with a government writ banishing her to a prison colony in the Ninth sector. Even that was a lie. She never made it to the prison colony, and instead found herself in a slave market on an unregistered planet in Thirteenth sector.

Daria and Irena also have unfortunate histories. Daria was ardent environmentalist on Europa, where profit from plundering resources was paramount. Irena was a politician’s mistress until his wife discovered Irena’s existence. Both Daria and Irena were whisked away from Europa with almost comic haste. Daria’s and Irena’s shared fate has drawn them closer together. The effects of the aphrodisiac compound in their food has encouraged them to overcome their distaste for lesbian sex. By the fifth day of the journey, they have progressed to kissing and undressing each other. So far they have settled for fondling the other’s tits. Anything below the waist is still unexplored territory. Evelyn knows this because the two of them feel the need to confess their wicked sins to Evelyn each night. With Evelyn’s bed sandwiched between the two tentative lovers, there are times when Evelyn feels tempted to adopt Sandra’s approach and push their relationship along. However, Daria and Irena are very discreet when having sex compared to the lurid display of sexual gratification demanded by the likes of Gemma and Sandra. Dog Star Six has two deck levels above, and one below, the living accommodation used for its sixteen unwilling passengers. While the other decks contain large areas that are inaccessible to the women, there are nevertheless unrestricted zones that provide nooks and crannies for private liaisons.

Like Sandra, Evelyn has observed the correlation between the shade of the outfit provided to each woman and the personality of its wearer. However, that isn’t the only thing Evelyn questions. It isn’t clear why they are being transported such a long way. Evelyn is no accountant, but she knows that the cost of transporting sixteen women on a nine week journey across space must be substantial. On the well populated worlds of the Fifth sector, there must be more practical ways of providing sex slaves for the rich and powerful.

Evelyn has never regarded herself as being dominant over others. However, on reflection, her brief political career proves that she is far from timid. Whoever, or whatever, selected the colour of the outfits worn by those imprisoned on Dog Star Six clearly understood Evelyn’s personality. As if to prove the issue, Evelyn has already intimidated Rebekah from Pandora settlement into satisfying Evelyn’s rampant sexual needs. As soon as Evelyn corned Rebekah in the kitchen two days ago, Evelyn knew that Rebekah would submit to her. It remains to be seen whether Rebekah’s submission was due to mutual attraction, or as a defence against the approaches of the more aggressive predators like Gemma and Sandra.
