Chapter 4: Sandra SX185732. Recruits

Despite being a prisoner on this spaceship, Sandra SX185732 feels grateful to be away from Styx. The raiders did everyone a favour by torching the settlement’s administration building. Her numerous encounters with the corporation’s law enforcement androids, and subsequent curfews and restrictions, meant her life on Styx was becoming a living Hell. Ever since childhood, Sandra was a rebel, and it was inevitable that by the time she reached adulthood she was well known as a troublemaker.

Sandra isn’t the only former Styx resident on Dog Star Six. Briony SX097330 and Juanita SX200376 are fellow travellers. Both are well known to Sandra from their membership of a quasi-political club on Styx. The Styx club was harmless and unable to threaten anybody’s position of power. However, the corporation’s Artificial Intelligence that controlled Styx deemed the club to be subversive, and its members were regularly arrested for the most trivial misdemeanour. The raiders from the Thirteenth sector provided a golden opportunity for Styx to be rid of three troublesome residents.

Sandra is assertive by nature, and Briony and Juanita fell under Sandra’s thrall long before the three of them were captured. Even the colour of their respective outfits reflects their relative authority within the group of sixteen. Sandra’s scarlet red outfit exudes the impression of power, while Briony’s pale yellow, and Juanita’s pale blue, outfits portray their submissive nature. Sandra informed the pair that she had arranged for their beds to be at the foot and head of own bed, so they would be readily available to serve her needs. It’s a lie, since none of those here have that kind of authority over the Artificial Intelligence controlling Dog Star Six. Simple observation would confirm that everyone’s bed allocation is simply in alpha-numerical order of their serial numbers. Still, it means both Briony and Juanita are nearby should Sandra need anything at night.

By the third day of their journey, Sandra has mentally evaluated each of her travelling companions. Aside from Sandra herself, Gemma stands out as the only other dominant personality. There are a few, like Lorna, who are fiercely independent, but show no inclination to dominate others except during sex. And then there are those whom Sandra calls ‘sheep’. Sandra knows that over the next few weeks many of them will become little more than sex slaves to either Gemma or Sandra. For the moment, Sandra sees no reason to prematurely challenge Gemma for the role of Queen Bee of their group. There’s plenty of time for that before Dog Star Six approaches their destination. For the time being, Sandra intends to build up her hive of thralls. Briony and Juanita are automatic additions, and Sandra has already warned them against having sex with anybody without her permission. Sandra knows that she can’t reserve their sexual activity to her alone, and that she’ll need to allow them to fuck with others. Each woman here has a burning need for regular sex, and Sandra has neither the desire nor the energy to satisfy them all. However, she can use those in her thrall to recruit others into her domain. It’s the sense of power at controlling other women that provides Sandra with the greatest satisfaction.

“Invite Caitlin to join us in the living module in fifteen minutes,” says Sandra to Briony.

Caitlin AN330697 is a diffident 26 year old from the Andromeda settlement. Her only friend on Dog Star Six is Lorna, and that relationship seems tentative at best. Her allocated bed is by the door, on the opposite side of the aisle from Sandra’s bed. It’s the pale mauve outfit Caitlin wears that draws Sandra’s attention to her. While all sixteen women have been issued with different coloured outfits, the choice of outfit colour doesn’t seem to be random. The more assertive women have darker shade outfits, while pale colours are prevalent among the more timid among the group. Certainly, the colour of a person’s outfit pays no thought to the wearer’s complexion or hair colour. Not that hair colour matters too much since everyone on board has had their hair trimmed short in a pixie-cut style before boarding the Dog Star Six. However, nine weeks of hair growth will make any colour clash noticeable. Some, like Sandra, Gemma and Lorna, have a colour of outfit that suits them, whereas others like Caitlin aren’t so lucky.
