Hi, I'm Baerd. I write a lot of stories which have incest as a major theme. There are some things I'd like to say regarding this, because of some of the feedback I've gotten.
First, incest is wrong. It's practice in reality often has difficult or downright terrible consequences, especially if there are children as a result. In some of my stories, children do happen as a result, and if I did not introduce some kind of genetic corrective, usually "magical" in nature, then the future of those resulting children would often be limited to some degree, and the further it continued the more limited and problematic it would get. In one story, what induces the incest is a device of terrorism, and this would be a terrible consequence of using such a device. This is left unstated in the story, and it requires a bit of thinking outside the story in order to appreciate that. In another, a drug cocktail and terrible decisions induce it, and terrible guilt plagues those who still have the capacity to think beyond the effects, and there is fear for any resulting children. The last was written as a Halloween story, and there *should* be a degree of both eroticism and "Eep!". It also got lower ratings, probably because that feeling of guilt and responsibility broke the wall of fantasy, and brought a little too much reality into a fantasy story. I get it.
Second, what I write is _fantasy_, and it should remain that, only. I do _not_ mean to _condone_ incest in any form. They are fantasy, and they _cannot_ happen in the real world. Intentionally committing incest or many of the behaviors in many of such type stories in real life is flat wrong, no excuses. This may be a part of why some find it erotic as a fantasy element.
Personally, I find incest erotic only in the 3rd person in fantasy. I have female relatives, including a mother and daughter, and have absolutely _no_ desire to have sex with any of them, and am shocked and appalled at the thought. Frankly, I don't know why I enjoy it as a fantasy element in the 3rd person (someone else doing something), or why it comes out in my writing. I would never act in such a fashion in real life.
I just wanted to make these points clear for those who read my stories. If you do, I do hope you enjoy them! Just don't act on them. Thanks!
