Wes Boyd has multiple stories that play in the little town of Spearfish lake. Almost by definition all of his stories are very good. None or very little sex but with all of the elements of adventure, romance, and humor.
Many of those which are not set in Spearfish Lake are set in Bradford or other small towns. Bradford is not much bigger than Spearfish Lake, some of the others are tiny.

Correct. that's why I mentioned that virtually all of Wes' stories are very good. I've got over 50 of his books in my library and am currently bing reading the Spearfish Lake series.

I'd have thought you would be using another search engine than Bing.

You'd enjoy them more if you were binge reading them.
Maybe the cute Asian girl named Bing has lots of tattoos consisting of various Asian texts and he reads her.

With tattoos it's no longer a cute girl but a graffiti wall. I hate tattoos since most have no significant meaning and there are very few that are artistically done right.
You'd enjoy them more if you were binge reading them.
I'll reach that when I'm halfway through the series ;)
What facets of small town stories most attract you? Is it the everyone knows everyone aspect?

Jay Cantrell's Death and a life in Emerald Cove has a big city cop on the verge of suicide. He decides to reset his life by moving to a beach town that is a thriving metropolis during spring break and a backwater during winter, small enough that the town council, chamber of commerce and tale tellers propping up the local bar are all the same group.
