Similar stories to...

Hey all, I'm aware that his stories are not on here but I assume most have read Karax's stories.

Anyone have anything similar? I really enjoyed Solomon's daughters and am hoping there are others out there.

When you assume, you make an ass out of you and me.

Ok...either your trying to be funny or an ass. Honestly just seems like most people on here have read a shit ton of stories and was looking for an opinion of similar ones.

If you want to be negative feel free, if you would like to read them then just DM me and I can send you the link.

Anyone else have any actual recommendations? So that I dont appear to be an ass, most stories where the main character gains a lot of power, gets the girl(s), and causes mayhem as well. They dont have to be fantasy or sci-fi but I prefer that if possible. Thanks again in advance

Wheezer ๐Ÿšซ

A brief Google search shows me a Karax that is part of a game. I assume your Karax is an author. Never heard of that author and have no fucking clue where to find their stories. Your description is so (not) helpful in telling me anything about the stories.

Man didn't think my wording would cause so much commotion. Next time I will link the author and his stories so you can see who I mean. Thank you @seanski1969 for posting it.

To expand on my oh so helpful description. A boy find a genie lamp, turns out it contains 7 daughters of soloman who were turned to genies themselves by the high genie. Ends up marrying them all and getting the powers to be the all powerful genie. Helps the whole supernatural community due to it being harder to be invisible with all the new advances in technology.

@seanski1969 not specifically genie stories though I do enjoy them. More so looking for stories where the main character gets powers or becomes "better" I guess you can say? It also doesnt have to be a harem, that doesnt matter to me.

I have read the stories by Refusenik. Really enjoyed them, so if that helps narrow it down? If ya can't think of any no worries, I usually read ka Hmnd when I get into the reading mood but those tend to be so short. Thanks again!

Won't help as most of us refuse to follow such links, but a story description like in your second paragraph will help people to know what you're looking from.

I'd do both. Include the links and the description. It's not you how much work someone's willing to do to help you, but it is on you how much work you're willing to contribute to get help.

You might want to try his alternate pen name, Kenneth Hammond (aka Kenneth D Hammond). The longer name writes longer stories.

Redsliver ๐Ÿšซ

I've never read Karax. I can only make these recommendations off of what you said.

There's an author: Redsliver, lovely guy, pinnacle of manliness. He tends to write stories where a guy gets undeserved power, uses it to amass a harem, and then has to live up to the new powerful version of himself or submit to being the scummy loser he was before. I recommend Blue Ribbon and Magic is Gross.

Closer in form to your described kind of story but with way more sex, I recommend mypenname3000. His Battered Lamp and Devil's Pact are perverse epics. I admit I find his language choice a bit cheesy but he's still great in the niche he's chosen for himself.

A Strange Geek's Haven series is great in a discovering a supernatural world by being thrust right into the middle of it. The Harbingers, the main characters, fight a magic sex monster in a there are monsters in my high school, kinda way. All the characters are well written but may be honestly and off-puttingly young.

In his own shinny window at any rate. ;P

On the Op:

Any Pseudonym's "Life With Alpha Series"

Joe Broly's "Genie Chronicles" and 800ibgorila's spinoffs

Drago Time's stuff..almost any of it

Any of the Master PC stories

The list of recommendations for this type of story is really huge.'

One I'm remembering enjoying, but can't remember...MC was a comp-tech hacker type living in his own brownstone in NY. Had an alien AI living in his basement. Large harem of young women, including his own daughter. Conflict from mafia...they were on his side...to interstellar enemies. I fondly remember berserk triplets. Ended up with all of them, and the brownstone, going on interstellar adventures.

And flying rocks. I remember flying rocks.

yes, the first part of the story would fit, if you consider his computer cluster an AI, but not the going interstellar part. Both good reads although Business as Unusual has too many hard to follow listings of descriptions of (non-)clothing that make the story confusing at some points.

I can see after a quick review of both that I was totally confusing both stories together. Not surprising considering how similar they are and come from the same author.

Radagast ๐Ÿšซ

Off topic segue as my brain has been tweeked by the above.

Business as Usual During Alterations by Ralph Williams was a novellete in Astounding back in the 50s.
Aliens drop magical matter replicators on earth. They can replicate themselves. Economic haywire occurs. The story is set in a department store on day one and follows the managers attempts to cope as he realizes the future ramifications and tries to clear all his stock while also selling replicators.

The author predicted the future well:
Newly converted prepper survivalists stocking up against the end. (Every cyclone season or whenever an anti-gun president is elected).
The collapse of the scarcity of product / centralized distribution system and the probability of legal attempts to prevent copying of goods (Music and film industry against the internet comes to mind).
The switch to a credit card based society as money becomes too easy to duplicate. (Currently rolling out world wide, with high denomination bills being withdrawn and large cash transactions banned.)
Sales outlets only holding samples and arranging delivery after the sale.
Artisan and one off goods haveing greater cache as any luxury good could now be mass duplicated at no extra cost. (See the rise of farmers markets, Etsy, Renfairs, etc).

A fun read and very well thought out.
