Sea-Life wrote four and was going to write more: https://storiesonline.net/series/636/wizards-apprentice
Lazlo Zalezac wrote two: https://storiesonline.net/s/56795/magic and https://storiesonline.net/s/69120/more-magic (in progress), they are rather slapstick.
Cutlass has one in progress but you might want to wait and see if he gets further.
https://www.fictionpress.com/s/2961893/1/Mother-of-Learning
a groundhog-day-style story about a young mage who attends mage college and gets sucked into a timeloop on the day his school and the surrounding town is invaded. So he relives the month leading up to the invasion every time the time runs out, he gets killed or the original time looper gets killed.
First it is just a what-the-hell-is-going-on story, than about getting stronger and then the political side about the happenings around the world gets more fleshed out.
My favorite Fantasy story of the last 3 years.

The adventures of a halfelven as he tries to survive in a land where all of the kindred are to be killed. First chapter of a longer story.

Have you tried Tales of MU by Alexander Erin?
High fantasy
- subtitle is High Fantasy - Higher Education
Dragons
- There is one important dragon character, others are mentioned. However, there are very many different non-mundane characters - orc, troll, demonspawn, mermaid, golem, goblin, nymph, triclops, kobold, sylph, nagakin, elf (both light and dark), even some that defy classification; there are plenty of normal humans as well.
Magic
- Magisterius University (the MU of the title) is a university specialising in magic
warrior
- All students are required to have a weapon and attend some form of combat class
politics
- Lots! Uni to townsfolk, interdepartmental, interspecies
Somewhere over 500 chapters so far, and ongoing.
How has no one recommended you the Tarrin Kael's Sennadar Universe, AKA Firestaff series is beyond me. It's hands down one of my favorite fantasy novels.

I am currently halfway through Book 3. It is a great series but one of the biggest problems are the errors in the timeline.
- When was the Breaking? The first mention was 2.000 years ago but several plot points revolve around things that happened directly after it, like Triana's birth and they all talk about 1.000 years ago.
- the first time the disappearance of the ancients was mentioned, he was told they vanished because they didn't want to murder civilians (that were incised to do this by the priests of kara because of jealousy) while defending the tower and sending the other sorcerers out into hiding. But in the same book sometimes later it is said that they just vanished and nothing about hiding sorcerers. And the civilians attacked the tower because all the magic trinkets exploded.
- Kimmy was turned a 100 years ago in book 2. 20 years in book 3.
- in book 1 his parents tell him, that their house burned down because of a monster raid. In book 3 the house is fine and there was never a fire.
- and several other continuity errors.
I am reading the pdf version from http://www.weavespinner.net/worlds_of_fel.htm and maybe those are outdated, I don't know.
It doesn't diminish the fun I have reading this series (much) but it nags a little in the back of my head. especially the Breaking timeline.
I am reading the pdf version
Those are up-to-date so far as I know; Fel hasn't gone back and revised them since they were created, to my knowledge.
There are the occassional continuity errors in all of his stories; I don't think he keeps a master glossary for each story universe in quite enough detail. Think of them as stories from closely related timelines, if that will help you adjust.
Release that Witch. No dragons, but definitely a must read. The MC is an engineer from modern day China and gets transported to a world extremely similar to the Middle Ages as the idiotic 4th prince Roland except... there are witches there, and they are hunted down as the devil's advocates. There's politics, magic, witches, demons and thanks to the MC's knowledge... firearms o/
It's more fantasy than high fantasy, but it's one of the best webnovels I've read โ500 translated chapters so far, and 2 are released everyday.

I have no idea how to navigate that mess of a website to find and actually read chapter 1...
Here you go :-)
Thanks. You mentioned 500 translated chapters, but your link to Volare only has 344 chapters. Where can I find the rest?
Some of the translations make me pause, or grin and shake my head, but it's a good story.
Ok, Google is my friend! Webnovel.com picks up the story at chapter 330 and has up to chapter 521. They also appear to be posting translated chapters regularly according to the comments.

Thanks to this little flurry of activity, I've just added links to three eLit host sites I didn't know about. And previously I had no links to Chinese lit in translation. Don't know when I'll actually check any of the stories out, but still, the mad cataloger in my soul is very happy just now.

I looked into the first chapter and to me as a non-native english speaker the translation from Chinese created an oxymoron:
A round public square ...
Shouldn't this be a circus โ as in Piccadilly Circus?
Can someone enlighten me?
HM.
A round public square ...
Sounds like nonsense but since one definition of 'square' simply means 'place' the word choice seems allowable.
Yeah that's definitely a circus. Keep in mind that there might be a few mistakes here and there, since the translators are usually simple over-enthusiastic fans that have taken up the task of letting us non-speaking Chinese folks enjoy the stories.
In American English, I've never heard "circus" used in that way (only British English). So, a "round public square" is fine; "public square" does not (despite its constituent words) actually inherently have a defined shape or size. (Cf. conversations about how the Internet is the new public square)
Currently on chapter 160.
Reading Release that Witch and playing Factorio in-between is metal as fuck :D
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned QM's Magician yet.
It has it all. Angels, demons, vampires, werewolves, ESP, alternative earths, mage politics, the works. Mighty well written too. 126 chapters.
