A surprising number of Argon's stories have a plot tending in that direction, with two main variations.
1 - he finds someone new
2 - they make up again.

I suppose oyster50 gets a mention at this point, most of his stories start off with the MMC having gone through a divorce (or his wife died) and then finding a new life with someone - ahem - younger.

Not sure if Nemo intended for the reader to be sympathetic to his MMCs, because they are the biggest dicks in those stories. Especially in Concordia.
While not book-length, most of StangStar06's stories follow that formula.

Thunder and Lightening by Lazlo Zalezac is a long, great story about a guy in a bad place moving on to find both love and happiness.
Actually maybe the wife in that story was cheating too, I can't recall.. I would recommend it anyways, check it out!

Wes Boyd had a character rather like the wife in T&L (it was Linda Frankovich, the mother of Rusty, Misty and Bethany), those stories never made it to these sites. Her husband Bob was a peripheral character, probably too burned to find someone new anyway.
