Looking for stories here or on lit (nudge nudge) that take place on a ship or ships at sea. Could be pirates or set in the past or future. Preferably with a male MC.

Argon has a series starting with In the Navy which features several maritime stories.
Got to agree! Argon's "Anthony Carter Universe" is excellent and entertaining reading!
https://storiesonline.net/universe/102/anthony-carter
Some of his https://storiesonline.net/s/72279/the-tales-of-tanitsar also takes place on the sea.
No idea if this suits your need, but have you looked at the Sex and the Sailing Universe by Tony Tiger?
, but have you looked at the Sex and the Sailing Universe
Where do you get a sail big enough for a universe?
I hear a sail that size is available at Tony Tiger's giant sale.
But now that brings up two questions - where is Tony Tiger finding giants to sell and who is buying giants?
That's not as bad as Tony Tiger's giant sail sale.
a buck an ear
You have posted that more than a dozen times in six years.
Time you became known as 'Repetitiouslyboring".
a buck an ear
IIRC, this was in the first โ never published โ version of the fairy tale "Hans in Luck". Hans exchanged a freshly killed buck for an ear of corn. The author recognized this barter would resolve in too short a story and rewrote the story the way we know it. ;-)
HM.
Colt 45's "Mayhem II". It's premier, set in the future, and on board a huge cruise ship. Mayhem I is set partly on a smaller charter vessel.
Several of his other stories would also fit, "Sea King", "Shasta's Tale" and "Quest For Knowledge" (they are a series), and "Smuggler's Gold" (not directly part of any series).
Heh... I was going to mention your stories and Colt 45's first two Mayhem stories and got beat out on both ends.
A number of stories by https://storiesonline.net/a/tedbiker and https://storiesonline.net/a/coaster2 also take place on the water, although there is nothing piratical about them - the sailing is mostly recreational and/or semi-professional.
Edit: I see coaster2's are not tagged, look at
https://storiesonline.net/s/73265/captains-choice or
https://storiesonline.net/s/11496/the-house-at-sand-pines-romantic-sex-story (partially on the water).
Modern day ships and pirates are major factors in Florida Friends by Dual Writer and Dark Days by Reluctant Sir.
for classic pirate Laptopwriter's Tears of the Caribbean may be on lit
QHML 's Redneck rich is a long one that involves a modern attempt to sail the fabled Northwest Passage .Also on lit.
Tedbiker as mentioned has some wonderful stories centered on sailing .Mostly romantic not of the swashbuckling sort
For modern pirates "ugly american"
Ther are some others,if you're tnterested pm me

AfterShock by dotB takes place (mostly) on a ship.
From the Ashes of Disaster by Tetley is another one.
Aftershock takes place (mostly) on a boat, and if we're going to get into the ship vs boat discussion, then https://storiesonline.net/series/824/chaos by Ezzyb (in particular the second story) needs a mention.
Not a male MC that you preferred, but it does involve a ship.
Todd_d172's epic tour de force, The Bride Well worth an honourable mention.
Last to the party. An ongoing story worth reading, pirates, magic and hot sex. https://storiesonline.net/s/25692/the-vengeful-tide
