That's unexpected.
Tenderloin has been logging into the account to do edits so the account should still register as active.
Betsy Carter on SciFiStories has been updated this very day.

Betsy Carter on SciFiStories has been updated this very day.
Yes, but they're behind the paywall there. That may be what's going on here. Since Jim is one of my editors, I sent him an email asking him.
ETA:
Betsy Carter by Lazlo Zalezac
[More Info]
She's young, exotically attractive, smart, rich, strong, and energetic. It would appear that she has everything necessary to be supremely happy, but appearances can be deceiving.
Added Chapter 19
Premier members only
Betsy Carter on SciFiStories is no longer premier.
Jim said he corrected that last night. No further word on why they show up for archival on SOL.
The agreement wording is:
If you don't log into Storiesonline for more than 3 years, your stories will get moved into the archives which are accessible to premier members only. We may give interested authors permission to finish any work you left unfinished.
Did Lazlo give his password to his editor ?
in that case, the continued use of an author account after his/her death is not treated uniformly as Rache stories are still not archived.
Or did Lazeez grant permission to complete the editing?
Did Lazlo give his password to his editor ?
Yes
Oh, and the last time he definitely logged on personally (he posted a chapter of Emend by Eclipse) was in January 2019 so the three years were up a while ago.
TeNderLoin subsequently posted a blog entry to the effect that Lazlo had given him his password and that he would post the rest of the story.
Shoot. We were in a writer's association, can't quite call it a group, with the guy who wrote Charlotte's Movie. I'd posted some of the small stuff written there, here.
Rache was down one day - I'd replied with Schiller's Ode to Joy.
I moved cross-country at the end of 2012, but honestly, never heard the news.
It was some illness. She spent some time in hospital before the end and had time to set something up with her brother where he would release her "unpublished" stories over a fairly long period of time. I think he discovered another one maybe a year ago and posted that one with an apology for not having noticed it before.

According to Rule 16, the Author must log in to his account. TeNderLion is not the Author. That is probably why LZ's stories are up for archive.
I have no idea why rache's stories have not been archived.

Someone must log into the Author's account. How would Lazeez know if the Author passed his login credentials to a successor who keeps logging in?

Rache left instructions with her brother as well as access to all her accounts. In her Blog of at least one of her many accounts if not more then one he explained that he will be randomly logging on to keep her accounts active and that there where stories and chapters left to be published but on a timeline that she laid out following her passing.
The last story update (the conclusion of emend by eclipse) was in september 2019, almost 3 years ago. (The revisions done by Tenderloin using LZ's persona don't affect the 'last updated' stamp on the stories.) And the last post was over a year ago. Maybe LZ merely needs to log on to SOL to reset the clock for another year.

That's why TeNderLoin has access. LZ is deceased. I just sent Jim an email, and he's checking to see what's going on.

As I said above, the last chapter posted by LZ personally was in January 2019. When he realised he did not have enough time left to post the story at a chapter a week, he gave his editor Jim (TeNderLoin) his password and permission to post the rest.
LZ did not use an editor in his early stories and Jim had already started reposting chapters after he had edited them, he has continued doing that ever since.
he Enabler by Lazlo Zalezac
BE WARNED! This is a dark story. *** It takes two parents to raise a kid, not one parent and an enabler. He's always been the parent, but that's not enough. It's obvious that his wife lets the kid get away with anything and everything.

Very strange , that is an entry from finestories where all of LZ is up for archival
All his stories are now paywalled which is a shame as they are some of the more thought provoking and better written stories on the site.
I've corresponded a bit with Lazeez, and he patiently explained that it's up to TeNderLoin (if I spelled that right) to put Lazlo's stories back in the free area, if he chooses to. Apparently tenderloin is able to *post story updates to the penname*, but doesn't actually have Lazlo's password on here, so he can't properly *login* to Lazlo's account, thereby resetting the archive timer thing.
But he *does* (evidently) have the ability to de-archive the stories, if he wants. Tenderloin replied to a (worried about the archival thing) comment I wrote on "A. King and His Queen" (which I can't see anymore, because premier members only) and talked about the cost of a 30 day membership being low, so I fear he doesn't intend to de-archive the stories, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed, while saving pennies as I can.
It's a bummer, no mistake, for us freeloaders, (I'm under no delusion that my free membership actually contributes to the upkeep and longevity of the site. I'd pay if I could) but it is what it is. Thankfully there's still a lot of great stories we *can* read...but yeah, I wish I'd gotten over my intimidation at the scope of Lazlo's work, and read it all before it was too late.
I'd pay if I could
There are other ways to 'pay'. You could contribute stories of your own and eventually earn premier membership.
AJ
Yep. Working on it. One page at a time, heh. On a phone, no less. Ah well. Beggars != Choosers! Thanks for the advice!
The comment I mentioned that tenderloin replied to was on "millionaire next door" not "a. King..."! *Facepalm* anyway, he replied to my reply, and I misunderstood. He was just pointing out the value of premium, he said Lazlo's stories will remain public! Now I'm gonna diminish and go into the West, until my embarrassment reduces.
