Sounds like an interesting feature to have.
I doubt that I would use it. I look at the new stories list. The only thing I use the Author Name for is too avoid authors I don't like. If I don't recognize an author's name, then to me they are a new author even if they have posted many stories to SOL.
I think the Clitorides has a Best New Author category. But "new" is probably a year, not thirty days (although, how many new authors are there every month?).

But you have to be nominated to be in the Clitorides, and many new authors aren't nominated.
That data isn't really saved. The site has when author record created and then last update, but not first post.
