Reading queue auto-remove?

smurfix ๐Ÿšซ

A story which I have read and voted on should vanish from my reading queue automatically.
I have 900 of them in my "queue"... most of them already read:

I may make that an option, but most people wouldn't use it and it's never been requested before.

Each story in your library has a box at the end, under the voting box to decide what to do with it. It says:

This story is in your library.
[ Remove it ] Or [ Edit Bookmark ]

Whenever you finish reading a story, click 'remove it'.

Why? Some readers may want to retain the story so it will be easy to find when they are ready to reread it.

If you leave stories in your library that you don't want listed, then that is a personal issue. Delete them once you are done with them.

I agree. Someone might want to keep it to read again.

IMHO the personal library is there for stories to bookmark, and the queue is for stories I didn't read yet (or maybe those I queued for re-reading).
Thus keeping a story in the queue after having read it doesn't make much sense to me.

Actually, that makes sense. I don't separate the two. When I delete a story from the queue I choose the option to delete it from the library as well.

But I'm a control freak so I usually don't like systems deleting things automatically. But I see your point.

In your OP, you complained about having too many read stories in your queue. If you truly believe the queue should be reserved for stories you want to read, then why did you leave the story in the queue when you were finished reading it?

In addition to Lazeez comment, which you can do while reading the story, there is a box to the left of the story title in the Reading Queue and All Bookmarks lists. Check the box and go to the bottom of the page and click Delete from Library to delete the checked stories from the library.
