I thought Dnlds on the New Stories page represented the total number of downloads for the story - currently 2589 for my new story. The individual chapter counts show downloads of 2958 for the Introduction and 2640 for Chapter 1.

If Dnlds on the New Stories page represents total download count, then I would expect the value to be around 5598.

Is this a bug or am I misunderstanding what Dnlds means on the New Stories page?

Thank you for your quick reply. It clearly explained why the download counts differed.

I don't recall seeing that help topic the last time I looked at Help topics. However, the topic prompted my memory and I now recall an earlier Forum discussion about the New Stories' counter being updated only once for a reader regardless of how many of the story's chapters they accessed in a single day.
