Topic won't mark as read

Updated:

This morning I was going through the forums like normal. I opened the recently closed topic "Does Impeachment AND conviction also mean ineligibilty?", read the most recent posts and didn't disagree with closing it. But, it won't mark as read in the list.

Any ideas as to why?

It also doesn't jump to the bottom when I reopen it. Wierd.

That's with all topics that are closed. I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature but you can simply click the dot left of the topic title to mark it as read.

TY, yes that worked. Never seen it happen that way before with other closed topics.

You may have clicked the checkmark, which marks all threads as having been read.

I've had weirdness with locked topics' "read" status, but not exactly like that. What I typically see, and saw with that one, is that the whole thread becomes marked as "unread" when it's locked (despite my having read all but the last post at the time it was locked), but switches normally back to "read" after I look at it.

eta: Actually, no, it is still showing as unread. The main forum page shows Authors' Hangout as not having any unread threads, though.

It also doesn't jump to the bottom when I reopen it.

That is also a side effect of a thread being closed.
