When filling out my category exclusion preferences, I checked all the boxes for what pages to apply them to. This includes applying the exclusions to the Random Story Mechanism on the front page. Lately, however, I have seen several stories there with excluded categories in my random story section.
While not an emergency, I would request this be fixed whenever other work makes it possible.

Just an observation. The stories you are seeing listed may fit the categories that you excluded, but were the stories coded to reflect the categories you wanted to exclude.
Nothing on the home page is filtered. So the category exclusions don't apply to the initial random story.
The random stories page (when you click 'More') is filtered.

You're right. That's a relic from when there was no random page that displayed 10 stories each time you mixed it. It was from when there was a random story display on the home page and you click 'another story' for one more random story.
I've updated the exclusion preferences page to say 'Random Stories Page' as it should now.
