I like revenge stories too. In fact, the main theme of my first novel is revenge.
I recently did a Google search on "best revenge movies." Movies like "V for Vendetta," "John Wick," "Braveheart," "Kill Bill," etc. came up.
But one was mentioned that I had never heard of — "Law Abiding Citizen." Talk about revenge! If you like revenge movies and haven't seen that one, watch it. The only problem was he ended up killing innocent people too, but the revenge part is really good.
I like revenge stories too.
Some are good, but then again there are those awful 'burn the bitch' stories. Utterly innocent and deeply in love husband is totally surprised by the adultery of his wife, and thus is justified to destroy her world.
I wonder how much trouble it would be to add them as a category in the search listings? Seems there is a category for most everything.

The problem is finding the stories to add to the list, since you can't search on the code.
If the stories aren't reasonably common, the code is of little use.
There is a far bigger problem: how to add the code retrospectively to qualifying stories.

when you see or read one that should have a code and it's not there, you tell Lazeez through the Webmaster link and he'll check it out, and add it if he agrees. This often happens with people who forget to include a code or a code has been added since the story was posted. He'll usually contact the author about it before he adds the code, and most authors will add in when asked about it. The same happened when he add the Farming code at my request. Several existing stories soon had the code added to them.
The point I was making with that statement is Revenge is not currently a Story Type code. Awnlee was suggesting someone prepare a list of Revenge stories to support adding the code. So I lamented on the fact that since the code isn't already present, finding those stories for the list will be difficult.

In the input I sent Lazeez, I suggested Revenge be added as a story type. The only place Revenge shows up in the story codes is under Couples: Revenge - One party gets revenge for spouse's cheating.
The story I am now posting is a Revenge story that has nothing to do with couples or sex.
I changed the description and location of the 'Revenge' tag.
It's now in the 'other' section as it's not really a story type, it's something that happens in stories (like drama stories usually).
I also removed the part about revenge being restricted to a cheating spouse.
Hey Lazeez, how about building empires or rags to riches type stories, that seems like a story type. I think all four of my stories are that type, and the two I'm working on now are of the same type.

To me, it would be starting out poor or having very little and hard work or lots of luck bringing you to very rich. I'm sure some of the other guys could give you a much better definition or better wording.

That is true in many stories. However, in my story Revenge is the focus of the story.
Steampunk category has 9 stories and Fairy Tale has 15. I know I have read at least fifty to a hundred self made millionaire, rags to riches stories and at least that many revenge stories on SOL

I have to confess I requested Fairy Tale, although I hoped it would be a genre rather than a category. Its arrival was relatively recent so most qualifying stories won't have the tag. That's going to be a problem with any new tags, so the management are right to require a strong case for more additions.
